YOGYAKARTA (November 20, 2019) - Director General of Poverty Handling (Dirjen PFM), Andi ZA Dulung stated that district / city governments need to optimize data verification and validation of Non-Cash Food Assistance (BPNT) to meet the remaining BPNT quota.

"The accumulated shortage of meeting the BPNT quota has almost reached two million Beneficiary Families (KPM) in Regions 1, 2, 3," said the Director General of PFM when opening the "BPNT Region III Year 2019 Implementation Evaluation Meeting" at a hotel in Yogyakarta City, Tuesday night (19/11).

He hopes that the Heads of Provincial and Regency / City Social Services to fulfill the quota by filling in the Next Generation Social Welfare Information System (SIKS-NG). This is done so that the budget is not reduced. "If indeed the fulfillment of the BPNT quota is no longer needed by the province or district / city, then we can give BPNT quota to other provinces or regencies / cities that still need it," he added.

According to Microsave, this assistance can help KPM to reduce expenses for a minimum of 7-10 days, to buy rice and eggs. "In the future, there will be an increase in the index to 150 thousand per KPM per month and we are just waiting for the decision besides egg rice, what else can be spent," added the Director General of PFM at the end of the activity.

Regarding the fulfillment of the BPNT quota, Director of PFM Region III, Nur Pujianto in his report said that there are still around one million and seventy thousand quota that have not been fulfilled in Region III of the prepared quota of four million eight hundred thousand, one of which is due to not optimal verification. and data validation carried out by local governments, especially in Papua, West Papua, Maluku and North Maluku.

He also said that the difficulty in accessing the location was also the reason for the fulfillment of the KPM quota, for that he hoped that this activity could provide joint solutions related to obstacles in the field.
