JAKARTA (December 9th 2019) - The 5th President of the Republic of Indonesia and Chairman of the Steering Committee of the Pancasila Ideology Development Agency (BPIP), Megawati Soekarnoputri and the Minister of Social Affairs, Juliari P. Batubara attended the "Internalization and Grounding of Pancasila and Strengthening National Insight within the Ministry of Social Affairs Republic of Indonesia Year 2019 "at the Main TMPN Convention Building, Kalibata, Jakarta (9/12).

Megawati gave the direction as well as the opening of the activity and the remarks were delivered by Mr. Juliari P. Batubara. The activity was attended by Senior High Officials, Primary High Officials, as well as other Structural and Functional Officials in the Ministry of Social Affairs. Also attending the event were the Director General for the Poverty Handling (PFM), Andi ZA Dulung as well as the Leadership Expert for the National Defense Institute (Lemhanas), Maj. Gen. Juwondo.

In its direction, the BPIB Steering Committee said that the Indonesian people as part of the Indonesian state must practice the values ​​of Pancasila as well as possible. "If you feel part of the Indonesian citizen, in your heart, in the deepest feelings, Pancasila actually must and always exists," said the BPIB Steering Committee.

Previously, the Minister of Social Affairs said that with this kind of activity, hopefully that all employees within the Ministry of Social Affairs can carry out programs and policies in the Ministry of Social Affairs based on the Pancasila ideology. "This activity is a follow-up to the presidential lecture related to the internalization and grounding of Pancasila in each ministry and institution. Therefore, let's practice and implement Pancasila in our daily lives as part of Indonesian citizens," said the Minister of Social Affairs.

When met on the same occasion, the Minister of Social Affairs also said that in 2020 the plan would be to add to the Non-Cash Food Assistance Program (BPNT) 2020 program. The Minister of Social Affairs explained that the addition of food items to be included in the BPNT program had not yet been decided. "It will be decided soon and will continue to be implemented in 2020," explained the Minister of Social Affairs when met at TMPN Kalibata, South Jakarta, on Monday, December 9th 2019.

In addition to the BPNT program, according to the Minister of Social Affairs, the empowerment program will be more focused, especially for KPM who have graduated. "We are currently recalculating. The President wants an even better program," said the Minister of Social Affairs.
