BANDUNG (July 13, 2021) – The Indonesian Minister of Social Affairs, Tri Rismaharini discussed the breakthrough of the Social Rehabilitation Program for Uninhabitable Houses and Environmental Infrastructure (RS RTLH and Sarling) with the Director General for Poverty Handling (Dirjen PFM), Asep Sasa Purnama and the PFM Directorate General team.

The Minister of Social Affairs said that to make a new breakthrough for the RTLH and Sarling Hospital programs, a clear concept was needed. "So that's why we have to really understand how to make (a program) like this, so the concept is clear about what we want." said the Minister of Social Affairs when delivering her instructions in the courtyard of the "Wyata Guna" Center, Bandung – West Java.

The Minister of Social Affairs also said that employees at the Ministry of Social Affairs could show their performance for the community by continuing to carry out realistic breakthroughs in the RTLH and Sarling Hospital programs. "Let's prove that we can if our community didn't move, that's it, let's now think about how to make it realistic," said the Minister of Social Affairs.

One of the efforts that the Minister of Social Affairs wants to make in making this breakthrough is to change the old order into a new order that is more effective and efficient. "In fact, we are changing an arrangement that is not like yesterday at a minimal price but we can make something good." said the Minister of Social Affairs.

At the end of her delivery, the Minister of Social Affairs reminded the ranks of the Directorate General of PFM team that the programs at the Ministry of Social Affairs are able to build and revive social solidarity in society."Our name is the Ministry of Social Affairs, our job is not just helping out but also to revive social solidarity through building together, cooperations and study groups," explained the Minister of Social Affairs.

After receiving directions from the Minister of Social Affairs, the Director General of PFM continued discussions on the RTLH and Sarling Hospitals via video conference with the Batam City Social Office and the Minahasa Regency Social Office. The Director General of PFM said that the RTLH Hospital program is not only limited to building houses but also to reorganizing social functioning in society. "It's not just limited to houses that you want to build, but also includes social rehabilitation efforts by improving infrastructure so that it can function optimally," said the Director General of Poverty Handling.

The Director General of PFM also said that the RTLH Hospital program which is run using the concept of mutual cooperation can build a more conducive environment. "Therefore, the concept (RTLH Hospital) is actually because of mutual cooperation concept, then what is built is not just a house, but includes the environment as well, so the implementation should be community-based with a regional approach," explained the Director General of PFM.

In the RTLH Hospital Program, the aid index provided is IDR 20 million/KPM/house. Disbursement of social assistance from RTLH Hospital is carried out through a bank transfer mechanism to the accounts of groups receiving Social Assistance in accordance with statutory provisions.

Present on this occasion included the Director of PFM Region I, Said Mirza Pahlevi, Director of PFM Region II, I Wayan Wirawan, Director of PFM Region III, A. M. Asnandar, Representative of the Batam City Social Office, Representative of the Minahasa Regency Social Office, Officials within the Directorate General of PFM, as well as Food Social Assistance Companion.
