JAYAPURA (August 8, 2021) - The Director General of Poverty Handling ( PFM), Asep Sasa Purnama coordinated the basic food assistance program in Jayapura, Papua Province with representatives from the Jayapura City Social Service and Jayapura District Social Service. The meeting was held at a hotel in Jayapura on the sidelines of accompanying the working visit of the Minister of Social Affairs, Tri Rismaharini to Jayapura (8/8).

 

The Director General of PFM conveyed that the distribution of the Basic Food Program should continue to apply the 6T Principles. "In distributing social assistance, we must apply the 6T principles among other rights on target, time, quantity, price, quality, administration," said the Director General of PFM.

 

During the meeting, the Director General of PFM also listened to obstacles related to the distribution of the Basic Food Program. Constraints that are of concern to the Director General of PFM include the quality of food in e-warong, especially the quality of rice, technical constraints in meeting the demand for rice at e-warong, and the price of eggs in Papua which is currently high.

 

Based on data from the Directorate of PFM Region III, for the Jayapura City basic food program KPM distributed through BNI as many as 5,291 KPM, Jayapura Regency which was distributed through BRI as many as 3,828 KPM, Keerom Regency which was distributed through Bank Mandiri as many as 3,236 KPM so that the total of KPM in Papua Province distributed through Himbara as many as 12,355 KPM.

 

Present at the activity, including the Secretary of the Directorate General of PFM, Beni Sujanto, Secretary of the Directorate General of Social Protection and Security, Robben Rico, Head of Sub-Directorate for Assistance and Empowerment of the Region III PFM Directorate, Mr. Heru Cahyono, and the Regional Coordinator of Jayapura City.
