The security situation in Intan Jaya is still not conducive, so residents are not able to carry out their usual activities.

Some residents who live far from the security forces of the TNI & Polri chose to take refuge around the capital, Kab. Intan Jaya, in Sugapa, and some others fled to Kab. Nabire and Kab. Timika.

The Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs through the Department of Social Population, Women's Empowerment, and Child Protection in Papua Province has dispatched assistance for victims of social conflict Intan Jaya via ship (KM Belt Nusantara 81) to Nabire Regency on March 3, 2021 and is expected to arrive on March 5, 2021.

The aid packages sent were 56 Velbet Units, 50 Family Kit Packages, 65 Food Ware Packages, 800 Woll Blankets, 100 Mattress Sheets, 50 Family Kitchen Equipment Packages, 200 Equipment and Hygiene Packages for Vulnerable Groups (Children), 200 Equipment Packages and Vulnerable Group Hygiene (Elderly), 200 Equipment and Hygiene Packages for Vulnerable Groups (Special Needs), and 3 Game Packages for Children.

For the distribution of aid, it will be done through the District Social Service. Intan Jaya Regency.
