BOGOR (November 8, 2021) - The education and training center on social welfare has finished carrying out disaster preparedness training for seven days from 7-13 November 2021 at the Tagana Centre, Babakan Madang, Bogor Regency, West Java.

 

In the closing ceremony, the Head of the Social Welfare Education and Training Center, Rasman conveyed the message from the Minister of Social Affairs, Tri Rismaharini to the training participants.

 

"In the future, according to the direction of the Minister of Social Affairs, Education and Training must be able to provide benefits to the community," said Rasman.

 

Rasman said that all employees of the Ministry of Social Affairs must be ready to respond to disasters, especially employees in the technical implementation unit because they are the front line of the Ministry of Social Affairs in the regions.

 

“In the future, the training model will involve a lot of direct field practice which is also for training to provide benefits to the community. Like now, we are conducting disaster preparedness training which is of course to help the community if there is a disaster,” he said.

 

The Head of Social Welfare Education and Training Center reminded again the message from the Minister of Social Affairs, why the Ministry of Social Affairs exists and was formed, according to him, the Ministry of Social Affairs exists to ensure that the basic needs of Indonesian citizens are met. One of them is when there is a disaster, the survivors need basic needs. Therefore the Ministry of Social Affairs must also be present.

 

“Service to the community is very prioritized, now we have also carried out multi-service. This training is also to prepare human resources for technical implementing units that are directly adjacent to the community," said Rasman.

 

Furthermore, Rasman said that this training was also a form of collaboration with technical units in the Ministry of Social Affairs.

 

"If there is an assignment in disaster management, please just intend it as worship," he concluded.
