BOGOR
(November 8, 2021) - Some human resources (HR) personnel in
the technical implementation units of the Ministry of Social Affairs were given
training on disaster preparedness at the Tagana Centre, Babakan Madang, Bogor
Regency, West Java, Monday (November 8, 2021) 8/11).
This
training was organized by the Education and Training Center on Social Welfare during 7-13 November 2021 with a total of 60
participants spread from all provinces.
By seeing the
disaster-prone condition of Indonesia, it encourages the Educational Research
and Social Counseling Agency (BP3S) through the Social Welfare Education and
Training Center as the party most responsible for improving the quality of
human resources for this disaster preparedness training.
The Minister
of Social Affairs, Tri Rismaharini, in her speech, said that the real strength
of the Ministry of Social Affairs lies in regional halls.
"The
power of the Ministry of Social Affairs is in the Balai, because you are
the closest to the field in the event of a disaster and other social
problems"
According to
the Minister of Social Affairs, Tagana in this Balai must have a young
spirit. If a disaster occurs, don't just be an operator.
"In the
field, you must know what to do. Do not let the field be just spectators and
operators, we must be able to direct and analyze what steps we will take
next," said the Minister of Social Affairs.
At the same
time, Senior Advisor to the Minister of Social Affairs for Change and Social Dynamics,
Adhi Karyono, appreciated the steps taken by the Social Welfare Education and
Training Center in implementing this Tagana HR Training.
"I appreciate BP3S's steps in implementing this training because indeed we
must synergize, coordinate across sectors," said Adhi.
Meanwhile,
the Head of BP3S, Hartono Laras conveyed the importance of training for Tagana
HR.
"Natural
disasters in Indonesia are permanent and we have Tagana, for that, we have to
pay attention to their readiness and capabilities. So, he continued, Tagana's
human resources must be well prepared," Hartono explained.
