Padang (2 October 2021) - Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini will accept a resident whose family member died as a result of being buried by a landslide in Nagari Pasie Laweh, Lubuak Aluang District, Padang Pariaman Regency, West Sumatra on Wednesday (29/9) to work at the ministry which she led.

"I have entrusted him to the Education and Training Center in Padang, later he can immediately work," said Social Minister Tri Rismaharini after visiting the disaster site in Lubuk Alung, Saturday (2/10).

The resident who will be promised the job, named Kesayangan Nduru, will graduate at the end of this month at one of the universities in Padang.

The Minister of Social Affairs emphasized that Nduru is not alone because many people are there for him, so he asked not to be sad.

“You have to be strong. You are not alone, we are here," said Risma while holding Nduru's hands.

Social Minister Risma also instructed the Education and Training Center to send a trauma healing team to help victims who are still experiencing post-disaster trauma.

While being met at the same place, the Head of the Center for Education and Training (BBPPKS) in Padang, Sunarti, said that her party would immediately follow up on orders from the Minister of Social Affairs.

"We will immediately follow up on the Minister of Social Affairs' orders. On Monday tomorrow we will call Nduru to the Education and Training Center, for later we will assess it first," said Sunarti.

Unfortunately, it is undeniable that Nduru must accept the harsh reality after the flood and landslide disaster that took his beloved family. He lost his father, mother, 3 brothers, and 2 nephews.

But in the midst of it all, the Government of Indonesia through the Ministry of Social Affairs came to strengthen Nduru.
