JAKARTA (February 17, 2020) - The Ministry of Social Affairs held a "National Coordination Meeting on Integrated Social Welfare Data in 2020". The National Coordination Meeting (Rakor) of Integrated Social Welfare Data (DTKS) was held to build a common perception and understanding of the implementation of DTKS verification and validation.

Minister of Social Affairs Juliari P. Batubara emphasized the importance of equalizing perceptions between the central and local government roles. This is because, in addition to the law regulating the role of presenting DTKS in stages from the regions, DTKS is also the basis for subsidy policies for the underprivileged in other ministries/institutions.

"The point is, this coordination meeting wants to strengthen the spirit and similarity with local governments. So that in the implementation of programs, be it social assistance, social empowerment programs, social rehabilitation, and also in the support of subsidy programs outside the Ministry of Social Affairs, such as PBI-JK so that they are more targeted," said the Minister when closing the Coordination Meeting, in Jakarta, Monday night (17/02/2020).

In addition, said the Minister, in this coordination meeting the Social Welfare Data and Information Center (Pusdatin Kesos) also launched an android-based data application.

"The name is SIKS-DROID which is an application that can be used by officers in the field. From the field, officers can directly input data through the application and enter DTKS," said Juliari.

With this application, it is hoped that the quality managed in DTKS will have higher credibility and validity. "So that the distribution of assistance is also more targeted," said the Minister.

On the same occasion, Secretary General Hartono Laras stated, in addition to equalizing perceptions, the Coordination Meeting was also to disseminate policy directions and strategies for updating DTKS and implementing social welfare programs nationally.

"The coordination meeting also aims to make regency/city governments more active in verifying and validating DTKS. Then the coordination meeting also became a place to exchange experiences between regencies/cities in efforts to improve data on the poor and vulnerable in their respective regions," said Hartono.

The three-day activity was attended by 548 participants consisting of Heads of Social offices in 34 provinces and 514 regencies/cities throughout Indonesia.
