JAKARTA (May 11, 2022) - Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini met three children suffering from serious illnesses, namely Karina Putri Denias (10 months), M. Parhan Kulyubi (3 years), and Fransiska Junita Priscilla (24 years). Denias has been suffering from atresia biller since the age of 3 months. Meanwhile, Parhan suffers from hydrocephalus (acute brain disease) and Fransiska suffers from cerebral palsy (brain paralysis).

The Minister visited them in separate locations. Denias and Parhan at Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital (RSCM), Jakarta. Meanwhile, Fransiska was met by the Minister of Social Affairs at her residence in Duta Kranji Housing, Kranji Village, West Bekasi District.

On the occasion, the Minister stated that the Ministry of Social Affairs would help these children fight against the disease. However, with the healing process taking a long time, MoSA's budget was not designed to be able to help during medical procedures.

For this reason, MoSA cooperates with a digital-based fundraising platform, namely kitabisa.com. "If we just rely on the Ministry budget, it cannot continue to help. Therefore, together with kitabisa.com, we can help others suffering from serious illnesses. I would like to thank the good people who have set aside some of their sustenance to help them," said the Minister at RSCM Jakarta (11/05).

To the parents of the children, the Minister motivated them to keep strong, not give up, and diligently check their children's health at the hospital. On this occasion, Kitabisa.com CEO, Alfatih Timur, stated that the assistance for the three children was carried out in coordination with MoSA. "Kitabisa.com distributed donations of IDR 474,236,963 for Denias and IDR 83,627,512 for Parhan," said Timi - Alfatih's nickname.

The suffering experienced by these children is quite heavy. Denias was born normally. However, at the age of 3 months, she was diagnosed with impaired bile flow. Bile accumulates in the liver. She had received treatment at RSCM since January 2022 and Hermina Hospital Karawang, March by using BPJS Mandiri.

Denias lives with her mother, Suryani Triwidia Ningsih, in a house measuring approximately 5x10 meters in Dusun Baktijaya, Desa Batujaya, Batujaya District, Karawang Regency. Day-to-day, Suryani is a housewife, while her husband, Deni, is a car wash worker who lives on rent in Jakarta.

At the RSCM, Denias is preparing for a liver transplant operation, waiting for the child's condition to stabilize. The doctor has attached a tube to drain the fluid in his stomach.

Then Parhan was born in a normal and healthy condition. However, since the age of 5 months, there is a lump in the nose. Parhan often has fever and vomiting. He has been in the care of his mother, Rosita, and his sister since his father left them without a word.

Rosita works odd jobs ranging from being a motorcycle taxi driver to a car and motorcycle washer with a wage of IDR 30,000/day. With an uncertain income, the treatment for Parhan's disease is inadequate. The Minister visited Parhan's house in Pabuaran District, Sukabumi, last January.

For Fransisca, she has been diagnosed with cerebral palsy since she was 2.5 months old. Her mother, Irene, worked hard to support and care for Sisca alone after her husband left. In addition to the three children, the Ministry of Social Affairs also provided an assessment for Almahyra Khawla Rachma (9 months). She is from Malang, East Java, and was diagnosed with biliary obstruction (blockage of the bile duct).

To her staff, the Minister has instructed that these children receive the best possible treatment. At the direction of the Minister, through Phala Martha Sukabumi Center, MoSA has provided ATENSI assistance to Rosita, Parhan's mother.

The assistance consists of rice, eggs, oil, soy sauce, wheat flour, green beans, brown sugar, milk, biscuits, snacks, mattresses, blankets, pillows, and children's toys.

Phala Martha Center also provides psychosocial support to Rosita to keep her spirits up. "We will provide PKH and BPNT social assistance for Parhan's parents. Then, they are given a stall business capital,” said Risma.

To Denias, the Pangudi Luhur Bekasi Integrated Center Team carried out referral assistance to the Hermina Karawang Hospital with Community Social Workers (PSM), Batujaya Village officials, and the Karawang Regency Social Office. "The Center also motivates Suryani to always be optimistic and diligent in checking Denias at the hospital," said the Minister.

MoSA also provides ATENSI assistance in the form of nutritional needs for mothers and children (milk, baby biscuits, baby porridge, dates, honey, nuts), personal care needs for children (soap, shampoo, powder, baby oil, telon oil, diapers, tissue wet wipes, dry wipes, towels, clothes, jackets, hats, socks), toys and strollers.

To drive the economy, MoSA provides entrepreneurship assistance to Suryani in the form of grilled/fried sausage stalls, necessities, and daily necessities. Meanwhile, Suryani's husband, Deni, continues to work in Jakarta. Other assistance in the form of transportation and accommodation costs during hospitalization.

To Fransisca, MoSA distributed ATENSI assistance in the form of entrepreneurship assistance for Irene and therapy and medical assistance for Fransisca with a total of IDR 17,242,511.
