MoSA and Commission VIII of DPR RI Distribute Social Assistance More than IDR 400 Billion to the DIY Province

YOGYAKARTA (18 April 2022) - The Ministry of Social Affairs (MoSA) together with Commission VIII of the House of Representatives Republic Indonesia (DPR RI) symbolically distributed assistance with a total of more than IDR 400 billion. The distribution of assistance is carried out in conjunction with a working visit in the context of the Recess Period for Session IV of the 2021-2022 trial year.


Present at the event were the Chairman of Commission VIII Yandri Susanto and a number of members of Commission VIII. Present on behalf of the Governor of DIY, Regional Secretary Kadarmanta Baskara Aji, Head of Social Office Endang Patmintarsih, and the ranks.


In his statement, Yandri Susanto revealed that the distribution of social assistance, especially the Direct Cash Assistance (BLT) for Cooking Oil, was scheduled to be distributed until Eid al-Fitr. "God willing, the distribution will be before Idul Fitri. I ask for supervision so that it is right on target," he said.


On the same occasion, Secretary of the Director-General of Poverty Handling Benny Sujanto conveyed a similar statement. They hope that the assistance from the MoSA, especially BLT Cooking Oil, can help reduce spending amidst the upward trend in prices entering the month of Ramadan and ahead of Eid al-Fitr.


The DIY Provincial Government expressed its appreciation and gratitude for the distribution. The Head of the Social Office of the DIY Provincial Government, Endang Patmintarsih, stated that her party welcomed the assistance that had been handed over.


“Non-Cash Food Assistance Program (BPNT) and BLT Cooking Oil in DIY Province has reached 337,997 beneficiaries (KPM). Thank you for the government's concern for the people of DIY," said Endang at the event held at the Office of the Governor of DI Yogyakarta Province (18/04).


On this occasion, the assistance was handed over symbolically with a total of IDR 401,508,194,710. Assistance consists of regular programs such as the BPNT and the Family Hope Program (PKH), as well as BLT Cooking Oil. Specifically for PKH, it reaches 187,305 KPM with a total of IDR 130,795,350,000.


BPNT for DIY Province distributed through PT Pos as many as 337,997 KPM with the amount of assistance IDR 200,000/each KPM, the total value of assistance is IDR 67,599,400,000, -. Meanwhile, the BPNT distributed through Himbara amounted to 222,850 KPM IDR 400,000/each KPM with a total of IDR 89,140,000,000. BLT Cooking Oil for DI Yogyakarta Province is 337,997 KPM IDR 300,000/each KPM with a total of IDR 101,399,100.


In line with the central government's program, the Yogyakarta Provincial Government has also made various efforts to accelerate poverty alleviation. “For KPM PKH who have business startups, it has been strengthened with the Kube (joint business group) program. In DIY, there are 15 poverty groups that accept Kube,” said Endang.


The Kube program is a joint business of about 10 people who help strengthen business pathways with assistance from the DIY Provincial Budget. KPM is also given guidance on how to package products with good packaging so that they are worthy of sale.


In addition, assistance from the Center and the Integrated Center was also handed over. It was in the form of buffer stock for handling victims of natural disasters in the DIY Province worth IDR 1,435,305,000. The assistance consists of 500 sheets of mattresses, 20 units of family multipurpose tents, 20 units of family tents, 250 units of velbed, 500 packages of adult clothing, 1200 packages of ready-to-eat side dishes, 1200 packages of ready-to-eat food, 1200 packages of children's food and 500 packages of blankets.


Buffer stock for 2 DIY social granaries was also handed over worth IDR 197,222,355/each with a total of IDR 394,444,410. MoSA also distributed ATENSI assistance from the Integrated Center and Center whose working areas are in the DIY Province.

 

ATENSI assistance from Margo Laras Center for Elderly with Disabilities in Bantul in the form of 30 nutrition packages worth IDR 500,000/each with a total of IDR 15,000,000, 3 units of wheelchair disability aids worth IDR 1,500,000/each with a total of IDR 4,500,000 and 2 units of walker disability aids worth IDR 400,000/each with a total of IDR 800,000.


ATENSI assistance from the Satria Baturraden Center for Victims of Drugs Abuse and Persons with Mental Disabilities of Al Islami Social Service Agency in the form of 39 nutritional packages worth IDR 500,000/each with a total of IDR 19,500,000. ATENSI assistance from the Kartini Temanggung Integrated Center in the form of an adaptive guide stick for the visually impaired for 1 person worth IDR 3,000,000, and the fulfillment of a decent life for 100 PM worth IDR 500,000/each with a total of IDR 50,000,000.


ATENSI assistance from the Integrated Center Prof. DR. Soeharso Solo in the form of electric wheelchairs for people with physical disabilities for 3 KPM worth IDR 24,000,000/each with a total of IDR 72,000,000, - and 2 nutrition packages for people with physical disabilities worth IDR 500,000 with a total of IDR 1,000,000.


ATENSI assistance from Antasena Magelang Center for 2 orphans worth IDR 200,000/each/3 months with a total of IDR 1.200.000,-, assistance for orphans due to covid-19 in DIY amounting to IDR 510.600.000,-, assistance for the Yayasan Kesejahteraan Tuna Netra Islam (Yatunis) Yogya as many as 55 packages worth IDR 500,000/each with a total of IDR 27,500,000 and ATENSI assistance for the DIY Province in 2022 of IDR 1,250,000.000.


A working visit in the context of the IV trial recess period was also carried out in Batam City. Present on the occasion, Deputy Chairman of Commission VIII Marwan Dasopang. In his statement, Marwan is optimistic that the distribution of BLT Cooking Oil can be completed before Eid al-Fitr. "I think it can be before Eid al-Fitr because it has stages," he said. In line with Yandri, Marwan also hopes that social assistance can be right on target.


In Riau Islands Province, MoSA assistance for disaster management is worth IDR 1,635,135,900, and ATENSI assistance is worth IDR 599,158,000.

 

For Batam City, the MoSA assistance for natural disaster management is worth IDR 484,150,394. Meanwhile, ATENSI Assistance in Batam City is worth IDR 294.345.000.
