MoSA and Legislators Help 150 PPKS in West Bandung Regency
WEST BANDUNG (19 July 2023) —The Ministry of Social Affairs (MoSA) together with Commission VIII DPR RI continues to strengthen synergy as an effort to reduce poverty in Indonesia. One of them is by distributing Social Rehabilitation Assistance (ATENSI) as a guarantee for the protection and fulfillment of the rights of Social Welfare Service Recipients (PPKS).
Located in Cipeundeuy District, West Bandung Regency, MoSA through Sentra Wyata Guna Bandung and Commission VIII DPR RI distributed ATENSI assistance. Vice Chairman of Commission VIII Tb. Ace Hasan Syadzily revealed that the ATENSI assistance aims to make Indonesian people prosperous.
MoSA's program is considered effective in dealing with poverty, especially considering the poverty rate in West Bandung Regency is at 11.3%.
“This is all because the state is responsible towards its citizens. The Ministry of Social Affairs is thinking about how the state can pay attention to vulnerable groups," said Ace (19/7).
Representing Commission VIII DPR RI, Ace and the Ministry of Social Affairs distributed ATENSI assistance in the form of basic needs, nutrition, entrepreneurship support, and disability aids including hearing aids, wheelchairs, crutches, and four-legged canes.
The assistance was handed over directly to 150 PPKS consisting of Vulnerable Groups, Persons with Disabilities, Elderly and Children who live in West Bandung Regency, with a total of IDR 189,076,700.
To the PPKS, Ace said that even though the state faces various limitations, MoSA and the legislators will always make an effort. "The Ministry of Social Affairs and Commission VIII will always make an effort so that low-income people can increase their income with the help of government programs," said Ace.
On the same occasion, the Head of Wyata Guna Center in Bandung Iri Sapria expressed his gratitude to Commission VIII DPR RI as MoSA's partner in providing welfare for people in need.
He said the ATENSI assistance given today was the result of the assessment that had been carried out. "Based on the results of the assessment, we convey this ATENSI assistance to 150 PPKS in West Bandung Regency," said Iri.
The assistance was beneficial for PPKS. One of the recipients of ATENSI assistance, Eneng Tayani, expressed her gratitude. "Alhamdulillah, thank you very much to the entire team that assisted, thank you," said this 40-year-old woman.
