MoSA Enhances PKH Social Companion Development, Acknowledges High Social Welfare Program Satisfaction
WEST BANDUNG (27 May 2023) - Social Companions of the Family Hope Program (PKH) play critical roles in the successful delivery of social assistance. As a result, the Ministry of Social Affairs (MoSA) remains committed to providing systematic and long-term development.
One of the measures made was to strengthen and motivate PKH Social Companions through PKH Social Companion Capacity Strengthening events performed in West Bandung District, West Java Province (25/05).
The Director General of Social Protection and Security as well as MoSA’s Acting Secretary General Robben Rico who was present on this occasion revealed that currently, the survey of public satisfaction with social welfare policies ranks first in various polls.
He ensured that this could be realized, due to the contribution of all parties, including the hard work of PKH social companions.
"I'd like to relay a message from the Minister of Social Affairs to all of us. She would like to thank everyone because, thank God, the social welfare cluster has consistently ranked first in survey results in any poll over the last two semesters. I'm confident this isn't the consequence of one person's hard work, only the Minister's or my own, but of collaboration among all of us," Robben remarked.
Robben further stated that, based on the results of Kompas R&D, the community was quite pleased with the provision of social assistance during the leadership of President Joko Widodo and Vice President KH. Ma'ruf Amin. In terms of transparency and accountability, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) gave the distribution of social assistance an almost flawless score.
"The results of the survey from Kompas Research and Development, social assistance lead in first place for the satisfaction of the Government of Mr. President Jokowi and Mr Ma'ruf Amin, so this means that Alhamdulillah, the results of the assessment from KPK friends that the distribution of social assistance received a score of 98.8," Robben went on to say.
This result is inextricably linked to the hard work of PKH social companions who were actively involved in carrying out assessment, mentoring, and updating the Integrated Social Welfare Data (DTKS) for Beneficiaries (PM).
"Thank God, data improvements have also been made, and these are the social assistance heroes in front of me. They input data every day and carry out the data updating process," Robben remarked in front of the 173 PKH Social Companions in West Bandung Districts.
On the same occasion, Deputy Chairman of Commission VIII DPR RI Tb. Ace Hasan Syadzily expressed gratitude to PKH Social Companions for assisting with social welfare programs established by the Ministry of Social Affairs.
"I certainly appreciate and give the highest appreciation to the PKH social companions who tirelessly accompany the community in dealing with various social problems among all of us," said Ace.
According to him, the PKH program must be maintained because the PKH program has a Four-in-one spirit. This is because the PKH Program has 4 assistance components at once, namely, meeting basic needs, meeting educational needs, meeting the needs of pregnant women and preventing stunting, and meeting disability needs.
"We at Commission VIII will always continue to encourage PKH to become a superior program for improving the welfare of the Indonesian people," said Ace.
This event was also attended by Ridwan Abdullah Putra, the Head of the West Bandung District Social Office, and Faisal, the Acting Director of Social Security.
