MoSA Expands Public Kitchen Outreach to Bogor, Yogyakarta, and Denpasar

JAKARTA (July 9, 2021) - Social Minister Tri Rismaharini has instructed her staff to expand public kitchen services. Starting today, MoSA through the Directorate of Social Protection for Natural Disaster Victims is preparing to activate public kitchens in three cities, namely Bogor Regency, Yogyakarta City, and Denpasar City.

 

Mrs. Risma stated that the addition of public kitchens was adjusted to the area of ​​the Emergency Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM), namely in Java-Bali. With the establishment of public kitchens, it is hoped that it can help with the food needs of health workers, PPKM guard officers, both Indonesian National Army Forces (TNI), Indonesian Police (Polri), and Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) around DKI and the buffer zone of the Capital City of DKI Jakarta.

 

"I have ordered the addition of public kitchens in Bogor Regency, Yogyakarta City, and Denpasar City. By the area where the Emergency PPKM is applied," said the Minister of Social Affairs while reviewing the process of providing ready-to-eat food at the Public Kitchen of MoSA at the Convention Building of the Main National Heroes Cemetery (TMPNU) Kalibata, Jakarta (09/07).

 

Here, the Minister of Social Affairs is seen checking the operational readiness of public kitchens in helping the need for ready-to-eat food for health workers. Social Minister hands-on operation by asking about the readiness of cooking ingredients such as vegetables and meat. The Minister of Social Affairs also seemed to participate in processing the ingredients into a large wok.

 

On this occasion, the Minister of Social Affairs stated that the public kitchen at TMPNU Kalibata produces an average of 10 thousand packages of ready-to-eat food and 10 thousand boiled eggs every day. "Food distribution to regional hospitals in Bogor, Bekasi, and Tangerang Regencies," she said.

 

Three public kitchens which will be operational soon, namely in Bogor Regency, Yogyakarta City, and Denpasar City, will later be established in the halls owned by the Ministry of Social Affairs. Mrs. Risma stated that several elements of society, including the business world, had expressed interest in contributing.

 

Thus, a total of seven public kitchens of MoSA have been operating to assist the need for ready-to-eat food for health workers. Namely at MoSA’s Office, TMPNU Kalibata Jakarta, Bandung, Surakarta, Bogor Regency, Yogyakarta City and Denpasar City.

 

Filtering Information

 

On the occasion, the Minister of Social Affairs also emphasized the importance of the public being careful and not easily influenced by various information that cannot be justified. Including the circulation of information asking the public to fill out a form to get help.

The Ministry of Social Affairs expressly states that the information above is not true. Even in the case of the circulation of the form filled in to get help from a site, it has been reported to the police. The Minister of Social Affairs asked the public to filter information and not hesitate to contact official information centers.

"I ask the public to be careful. The ministry can't use such sites. The ministry must use the official website (in carrying out its policies)," said the Minister.

According to Mrs. Risma's orders, the Head of the Public Relations Bureau of the Ministry of Social Affairs Hasim has made a report to Polda Metro Jaya. The site is in the name of MoSA and circulates registration forms to the public to get assistance with a total of IDR 300,000.

"We reported it to Polda Metro Jaya. It's just that after counseling, it turns out that the website no longer exists. Incidentally, there have been no reports from victims. And third, we previously reported it to Kominfo and then followed up with being disabled by Kominfo," she said.

Thus, this case cannot be continued for investigation. This report to the police is based on careful consideration. "This defames MoSA and interferes with the joint efforts of all relevant stakeholders who are working hard and seriously overseeing government policies in handling the impact of the pandemic," concluded the Minister.
