JAKARTA (April 14, 2020) - COVID-19 Emergency Hospital Athletes Village expresses their gratitude and appreciation for the Ministry of Social Affairs assistance. The MoSA Assistance greatly assisted the tasks of health workers standing at the frontline of the pandemic.
 
"We express our deepest gratitude and highest appreciation for the assistance that has been given to the COVID-19 Emergency Hospital Athletes Village. This assistance is very meaningful amidst the high needs of health workers for medical equipment," said the General Physician Coordinator of COVID-19 Emergency Hospital Athletes Village 2nd Lieutenant SN Tommy Laksamana in Jakarta (04/14/2020).
 
Today, the Ministry of Social Affairs provided a total of 12,000 masks, 600 bottles of hand sanitizer and 75 boxes of weaning food to three hospitals. Namely COVID-19 Emergency Hospital Athletes Village, Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital, and Sulianti Saroso Hospital.
 
2nd Lieutenant Tommy added, assistance from the Ministry of Social Affairs did not only help in terms of fulfilling health completeness for officers. But it also strengthens their morale in carrying out their duties in the midst of a risky pandemic.
 
"We will distribute this assistance soon. Because we really need it. As an illustration, for Hazardous Materials Suit (Hazmat Suit), we need 200-250 a day. So, we really need it. Thanks to the Ministry of Social Affairs and all those who contributed," he said. 

Gratitude and appreciation were also conveyed by representatives of the RSCM, and Sulianti Saroso Hospital.
 
The distribution of assistance was delivered symbolically by the Dharma Wanita Advisor of Ministry of Social Affair Grace P. Batubara. She stated, it is a proof that the state was present in the midst of those who needed help.
 
"This assistance is also the implementation of the #KemensosHADIR slogan," said Grace, who also represented the Onward Indonesian Cabinet Era Solidarity Action Organization.
 
In accordance with the direction of the President, the Ministry of Social Affairs is currently giving out Basic Food Assistance to residents affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. The volume of assistance was 300,000 packages in stages until April 19.
 
Today, 4,722 food packages and 9,611 portions of fast food have been distributed. So that the total assistance that has been distributed since April 7, as many as 50,205 food packages and 75,510 packages of fast food.
 
In addition to basic food assistance, the Ministry of Social Affairs also provided Medical Equipment in the form of 4,637 packages of masks, hand sanitizers and vitamin C to social pillars spread across 32 provinces in Indonesia.
 
The Ministry of Social Affairs has a strategic task in handling disasters, which is good in pre-disaster, during disaster, and post-disaster. The pre-disaster task is to build a system of disaster preparedness and mitigation. As preparing bufferstock (supplies) in central, regional and provincial warehouses throughout Indonesia (food, clothing, and families and children necessity).
 
During a disaster, the Ministry of Social Affairs activates a system that has been prepared for the management of natural disasters in an integrated manner, and after disasters Conducts recovery and strengthening activities for victims of natural disasters. Among others by providing compensation for heirs, compensation for seriously injured victims, and so on.
