MoSA Strengthen Data Validation in Bengkulu Through Integrated Assessment
REJANG
LEBONG (July 26, 2033) - The
Ministry of Social Affairs (MoSA) relies on data validation to enhance the
quality of services provided to vulnerable groups, such as recipients. This is
following Minister Tri Rismaharini's directive to all MoSA employees
to systematically and perpetually maintain data accuracy to enhance
social welfare services.
The Centre of Dharma Guna in Bengkulu, one of MoSA's technical units,
organized a technical brief on the topic "Synergy of Social Welfare Programmes
to Build Well-being in Society Through Integrated Assessment and ATENSI" at
the Social Office of Rejang Lebong in Bengkulu. On July 25–27, 2023, several chiefs of social offices, heads of rehabilitation services, and social
companions from 10 regencies and cities within The Centre of Dharma Guna
Bengkulu's service area attended the event.
The Head of Dharma Guna Centre, Syam Wuryani, stated in her speech that
the Ministry of Social Affairs (MoSA) conducts annual data collection. She
stated, "We conduct data collection through integrated assessment to increase data quality, which will result in the validity and speedy
distribution of aid to recipients."
MoSA has set an assessment target of 6,150 persons for the Dharma
Guna Centre work area for 2023. This goal comprises 2,050 children, 2,050 persons with disabilities, and 2,050 senior citizens.
Syam also requested that all participants maintain synergy between
institutions, reduce sectoral egos and promote the public interest. This
includes volunteer groups such as Disaster Response Volunteers (Tagana), District
Social Welfare Workers, Social Rehabilitation Companions, and Community Youth
Organisations (Karang Taruna).
"Following Minister Risma's directives, so that there are no
more barriers between organizations with their flags, including social pillars
and other volunteer groups, it is time for us to work together in line with the
principle of social solidarity to eliminate social problems on the
ground," she stated.
Valid data is the foundation for preventing manipulation that results in
off-target assistance. When conducting assessments for data validation,
professionalism and accountability from assessors are therefore expected to be
excellent.
Regent of Rejang Lebong Syamsul Effendy stated that MoSA is fully
committed to providing services to beneficiaries and addressing other social
issues. Good coordination, effective communication, and synergy between
organizations are required to maximize performance. The briefing is not novel,
but it should be conducted routinely.
"Effective assessment will increase the precision of assistance
provided to the elderly, persons with disabilities, and children,"
Syamsul said
Syamsul also stated that synergy begins at the bottom level with
officers, village and district leaders, and social officers.
"They should maintain synergy and perform their duties and functions
effectively so that work can proceed smoothly and data is of high
quality," he said.
Iskandar ZO, the head of the Bengkulu Province Social Office, delivered a
discourse on The Importance of Social Assistance Target Accuracy for
Recipients. Riky Musriza, Head of the Section of Economic and Finance on Deputy
of Intelligence of Bengkulu Provincial Prosecutor's Office, delivered a lecture
on The Role of the Prosecutor's Office in Securing and Guiding the Distribution
of Social Assistance.
