JAKARTA (February 5, 2023) - The serial murder case committed by Wowon and his friends in Bekasi is still being discussed by the public. The perpetrators are known to have victimized their relatives.

Moving on from the excitement of the case, there is NA, a little girl who survived the attempted murder with poison. The 5-year-old girl is Wowon and AM's biological daughter. AM also died as a victim of Wowon's violence.

In response to this case, the Ministry of Social Affairs through the "Handayani" Center in Jakarta coordinated with relevant parties in Bekasi, such as police, Bekasi Regional Child Protection Commission (KPAD), and Bekasi District Women and Children Protection Agency (DP3A).

NA was one of the four people in the family who drank the poisoned coffee made by Duloh, Wowon's partner.  The incident caused AM and NA's step-sister to die. Through a doctor's examination, NA was declared healthy.

The relevant authorities in Bekasi agreed for NA to receive further services at the "Handayani" Center in Jakarta. Representing the Head of the "Handayani" Center in Jakarta, Acting Head of Administration Meerada Saryati Aryani advised the officers to provide maximum protection for NA while maintaining the confidentiality of the child's identity.

"Immediately conduct a psychosocial examination for NA, we make sure whether there is trauma in the child? Fulfill all her needs and rights, also trace her extended family," said Meerada in Bekasi, Sunday (5/2).

When she first arrived, NA felt sad and had difficulty adapting to the new people around her. In addition, NA had difficulty speaking Indonesian, as she and her family communicate in Sundanese every day.

Until now, NA still did not know that her mother and two step-sisters were killed and that her biological father was a suspected serial killer.

However, entering the third week, NA has made a lot of progress. Currently, she has mingled with other children. She has started to understand communication in Bahasa Indonesia and has even started to show interest.

NA is known to have an intelligence level above the average child her age. NA is good at telling stories, likes to color and draw, and has a fairly good grasp. This was proven when NA was taught to make animal shapes analogous to a letter or number. NA only needed to see the method once, then she could imitate and develop it herself.

NA has started to be cheerful and happy to play according to her developmental period. NA has been attending kindergarten and has started to mingle easily with other friends. Now, she has a new routine, learning to recite the Quran.

The "Handayani" center in Jakarta meets all of NA's basic needs, from food, milk, school supplies, to toys. This girl was very happy because she was given a pink bicycle, the colour she loves. With riding her bikes, NA shared a happiness to her friends in the Center.

Until now, “Handayani” Center in Jakarta still continues to protect NA and search her extended family in Cianjur and Bandung. Next, it will be discussed about who will nurturing and taking care of her.
