Deepening Technocratic Strategic Plan Design, MoSA Gathers Input from Cross-Sector Ministries/Institutions
JAKARTA (February 2nd, 2024) – The Planning Bureau of the Ministry of Social Affairs (MoSA) held an in-depth activity and discussion of internal and cross-sectoral input from Ministries/Institutions (K/L) related to the technocratic draft of the 2025-2029 Ministry of Social Strategic Strategic Plan in the Meeting Room of Cawang Kencana Building, Jakarta, on January 29th-February 1st, 2024.
The deepening and discussion of the Draft Technocratic Plan of MoSA for 2025-2029 was divided into two sessions. The initial session on January 29th-30th, 2024 was an internal discussion involving work units within MoSA. This session was aimed to obtain an overview of the mandate and assignments of each work unit, map issues and problems, and identify the potential and need for social capital from programs and activities during 2025-2029.
In the second session, on January 31st, 2024, a comprehensive discussion was held with academics. Meanwhile, a discussion on February 1st, 2024 was held to gather input and responses from cross-sector K/L and regional governments, which also involved public aspirations.
In this session, the results of the evaluation of development implementation in sectors in accordance with the duties and authority of MoSA were collected. The discussion also gathered information on the division of tasks in achieving national development targets in accordance with the technocratic strategic plan of K/L in their sector.
"We hope that in the strategic plan prepared by MoSA, the work carried out will not be mediocre work, but there will be many innovations that can be measured and have targets. This is to support Golden Indonesia 2045," said the Acting Secretary General Robben Rico. Robben, in his speech, also said that changes to the development planning prepared by MoSA had to move from reform to transformation.
The technocratic process in preparing K/L strategic plans was a planning process carried out using scientific methods and thinking frameworks to analyze objective conditions by considering several development scenarios during the next planning period. The preparation of the technocratic draft of the K/L's strategic plan was carried out by taking into account the results of the evaluation of development implementation in sectors that are in accordance with their duties and authorities as well as the aspirations of the community.
MoSA is one of the Ministries that contributes to realizing the mission of the development agenda. MoSA's strategic issues include poverty and empowerment, the elderly, climate change, inclusive environment and sustainable development.
The resource persons consisted of officials from the Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas, Dr. Ignatia Martha H, ME (Veteran Development University Surabaya); academics such as Professor Bambang Shergy Laksmono (University of Indonesia), Professor Muhammad Zilal Hamzah (Trisakti University), Suharma, Ph.D (Bandung Social Welfare Polytechnic); Ministries/Institutions including the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Education and Culture, Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Manpower and BNPB, also actively participated, together with Social Services from several regions in Indonesia.
