INDRAMAYU (December 5, 2024) - The Ministry of Social Affairs held a free cataract surgery at the Indramayu Regional Hospital, West Java, helping 127 residents from 23 sub-districts get better vision. The Vice Minister of Social Affairs, Agus Jabo Priyono, emphasized the government's commitment to improving community welfare through collaboration with the Indramayu Regional Government, Perdami, and the local hospital.

The operation, which took place on December 4-6, 2024, involved a strict screening process and post-operative nutritional assistance for recovery. One of the beneficiaries, Aeni (60), expressed her hope to return to normal activities and thanked the Ministry of Social Affairs for the assistance.

This program reflects the Ministry of Social Affairs' efforts to create a happy and independent society, following the President's direction. "Our job is to make people smile, and this is real proof," said Vice Minister of Social Affairs Agus Jabo.
