MAROS (October 9, 2023) - The Indonesian Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini saw firsthand the preparation of the city tour locations which will later be visited by delegates from the ASEAN High-Level Forum on Disability-Inclusive Development and Partnership beyond 2025, at Leang-Leang Prehistoric Park, Bantimurung District, Maros City, South Sulawesi Province.

This park is an archaeological area which has two prehistoric caves which store various finds, namely Leang Pettae and Leang Petta Kere. Leang Pattae as a crocodile reserve has the main protection priority, knowledge related to prehistoric images starts from this place. Marked by the discovery of 7 red handprints on the cave ceiling on February 26, 1950, by archaeologist H.M.C. Heeren Palm led by H.R. Van Heekeren.
