JAKARTA (March 14, 2023) - The Indonesian Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini became the Keynote Speaker at the 3rd STRIVE Juvenile Project Coordination Meeting, held at the DoubleTree Hotel Cikini, Central Jakarta, Tuesday (14/3). This meeting was initiated by the UN Agency - UNODC (United Nations Office On Drugs and Crime) and the National Counterterrorism Agency (BNPT) and involved Ministries/Agencies that handle issues related to child victims of radicalism (terrorism).

On this occasion, Minister of Social Affairs Risma stressed the importance of comprehensive prevention efforts to protect children from exposure to terrorism through the collaboration of all Ministries/Agencies stakeholders. He also shared the experience of good practices (best practices) that had been carried out by the Ministry of Social Affairs through the Jakarta Handayani Center in providing social rehabilitation for children victims of radicalism/terrorism. The Ministry of Social Affairs also welcomes the UNODC's STRIVE Juvenile program which will provide training workshops (Training of Trainers) involving social workers and psychologists from UPT Ministry of Social Affairs namely the Center for Education, Training and Professional Development Margaguna Jakarta, Soeharso Solo Integrated Center, Paramita Sentra Mataram, Sentra Nipotowe Palu, and Sentra Handayani Jakarta.
