JAKARTA (November 15, 2024) – Minister of Social Affairs Saifullah Yusuf (Gus Ipul) and Minister of Villages, Development of Disadvantaged Regions, and Transmigration Yandri Susanto signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) at the Ministry of Social Affairs Office on Friday (11/15/2024). This synergy aims to accelerate poverty alleviation and improve social welfare in villages.

Gus Ipul explained that the initial step of this collaboration is data integration between the Ministry of Social Affairs and the Ministry of Villages. The data will be verified and validated together to ensure the accuracy of the program's targets.

In addition, the Ministry of Social Affairs will map villages that have received empowerment programs. This data will help the Ministry of Village monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the assistance that has been provided.

The collaboration will also be expanded by connecting village facilitators and social pillars, such as social workers and volunteers. This effort is expected to strengthen the implementation of social welfare and improve the quality of basic infrastructure development in villages.

With this synergy, the government hopes to create independent villages that become centers of economic growth and poverty alleviation in Indonesia.
