EAST SUMBA (May 19, 2024) - Indonesian Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini returned to East Sumba. During her working visit, Minister of Social Affairs Risma visited the cataract surgery social service at Umbu Rara Mehang Regional Hospital, inspecting the clean water assistance location in Kambuhapang Village where a water channel with a radius of 500 meters will be built so that residents in the area can enjoy clean water.

Next, Minister of Social Affairs Risma visited the location of social empowerment assistance in the form of laying hens for the residents of Lewapaku Village. She appealed to the public to distribute the eggs fairly. Currently, 100 laying hens have been distributed and later there will be another 300 laying hens for the residents of Lewapaku village if the results are optimal.

Lastly, Minister of Social Affairs Risma attended social service activities held by the Ministry of Social Affairs at the Lewa Community Health Center, Lewa District, East Sumba. The social services by the Ministry of Social Affairs consisting physiotherapy, assistive devices for disabilities, and social empowerment assistance. Furthermore, the Minister of Social Affairs also gave awards to medical personnel who had participated in this social service activity.
