PKH companions have a mission to oversee the disbursement of PKH assistance Phase IV in November 2022

PASURUAN (30 October 2022) - As the vanguards of the Ministry of Social Affairs, the Family Hope Program (PKH) companions, which is one of the social pillars, is expected to play an important role in realizing the successful development of social welfare. In line with the direction of the Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini, they need to continue to improve their skills and build networks in the midst of increasingly dynamic and complex task challenges.

"Social pillars, especially PKH companions, whose members are the younger generation, can become agents of change and mental strength in implementing and dealing with every change and development of the times," said Plt. Director General of Social Protection and Security (Linjamsos) Robben Rico at the PKH Companions Technical Meeting, with the topic of Capacity Building for Social Pillars and Social Assistance Distribution in East Java Province, Saturday (29/10).

Present on the occasion, Deputy of Commission VIII of the House of Representatives, Admiral TNI (Ret.) Moekhlas Sidik. The social pillar technical meeting took place simultaneously in a day, each held in Pasuruan Regency (29/10) and Probolinggo Regency (29/10). The social pillar technical meeting in Pasuruan Regency was attended by 100 participants and in Probolinggo Regency it was attended by 99 participants.

Robben emphasized that PKH companions encounter difficult challenges, amid the development of community dynamics. The complexity of the challenges that develop in the midst of society, cannot be solved by them alone.

“Therefore, in carrying out their duties, PKH companions need to coordinate with each other, stakeholders and related parties. I don't want to hear anymore that there are village and sub-district officials who don't know you as PKH companions, let alone the beneficiaries you are responsible for," he said.

While carrying out their duties, PKH companions are required to adhere to the provisions and in particular, adhere to the existing code of ethics. Among other things, maintaining unity and protecting the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia. They are also asked to improve the effectiveness and quality of the program for the better in the future.

“Finally, you must oversee the disbursement of the PKH assistance Phase IV in November 2022. Ensure that beneficiaries get the benefit of the assistance by ensuring that the assistance is right on target, in the right amount and at the right time," he said.

On the same occasion, Moeklas Siddik emphasized that PKHcompanions should participate in ascertaining the problem that has often been found, namely data on PKH beneficiaries in villages that are not in sync with the Ministry of Social Affairs. "I ask you to improve the accuracy of the data so that social assistance can be right on target," he said.

On the other hand, Moekhlas is still getting reports that there are parties who have met the requirements but have not received assistance. Or vice versa, do not qualify but receive assistance. "There are people who died but their names are still listed. I ask you to work harder to ensure the accuracy of the data," he said.
