Receiving Assistance for Three-Wheeled Motorcycle from MoSA, Rahmadansyah is Ready to Develop Various Businesses

CITEREUP (23 April 2023) - A number of customers were seen choosing several tools at one of the roadside stalls in the Citeureup Market area, Bogor Regency. The stall owner, Rahmadansyah, patiently serves customer needs.

Since 2008, the 45-year-old man has consistently been involved in the tool business. This is not his first attempt. However, time has proven that it is the appliance businesses that can be relied upon to continue his life.

When met at Citereup Market, while preparing his merchandise, he talked about his limited condition.

"Since I was 1.5 years old when my mother died, I often had high fever, he said. So one of my legs was diagnosed with poliomyelitis or polio, as a result, it didn't function normally," he said.

This condition did not dampen his enthusiasm for migrating in 2006 from Palembang to West Java. Living alone abroad and not having relatives is not an obstacle for him.

This resident from Kampung Bojong, Citeureup has been involved in selling, starting from selling lamps, then Before Eid, he continued selling children's watches to children's toys following market trends. In the end, he switched to selling roadside tools at the Citeureup market, Bogor.

His income at that time was around IDR 50 thousand per day. However, it is quite a large expense that he must bear. He keeps his merchandise at a place he rents at a cost of IDR 150,000 per month. Not to mention that he has to pay daily transportation costs of IDR 30 thousand to carry his merchandise from the rental place to the market using a pedicab.

In 2021, Rahmadansyah received assistance from the Ministry of Social Affairs in the form of a three-wheeled motorcycle. This motorcycle is designed according to the needs of persons with disabilities who have businesses.

With this three-wheeled motorcycle, Rahmadansyah admitted that it was very helpful in running his business. "Thank God, we have received accessibility assistance for businesses, so it will be easier and reduce previous expenses for renting trishaws and goods storage," he said.

After receiving assistance from Inten Soeweno Bogor Integrated Center, which is the technical unit of the Ministry of Social Affairs, Ramadansyah was able to reduce transportation and rental costs for storing goods. His income has gradually increased. Now his average income is IDR 100,000 per day.

With his unusual condition, Rahmadansyah has extraordinary tenacity. He left at 7.00 a.m. bringing his merchandise to Citeureup Market. Operational hours are until 10.00 a.m., then he goes home to rest and worship. After noon, he returned to selling at the Citeureup Market until 08.00 p.m.

Apparently, he felt another function from the three-wheeled motorcycle assisted by the Ministry of Social Affairs. Not only for running businesses, occasionally he uses the three-wheeled motorcycle for moving goods.

In addition, his three-wheeled motorcycle was once rented to carry catering orders. For him, this benefit is not only to earn extra income outside of his regular business but also as a way to help others.

In the future, Rahmadansyah plans to open a small coffee shop at his home using a three-wheeled motorcycle. "Later, after I return from selling tools, I plan to open a shop at home. It's not bad for increasing income," he said.

Rahmadansyah was grateful for the attention given by the Minister of Social Affairs. "I can only say a big thank you to the Minister of Social Affairs who has provided this 3-wheeled motorcycle assistance which is very useful for improving my businesses," he concluded.
