Social Affairs Minister Collaborates with Kitabisa.com to Support Advanced Treatment for Children with Serious Illness

SOUTH LAMPUNG (2 November 2022) - After the distribution of sympathy gifts for the heirs of flood victims in 2 sub-districts in South Lampung, the Minister of Social Affairs, Tri Rismaharini visited the South Lampung Regent's Office to provide Social Rehabilitation Assistance (ATENSI) and the kitabisa.com donation.


A total of IDR 14.8 million of ATENSI assistance was provided for siblings with disabilities. The assistance was in the form of wheelchairs, nutrition packages, entrepreneurship assistance, children's games, house utensils and operational assistance.


In addition, ATENSI assistance in the form of nutrition packages, basic needs, medical expenses and entrepreneurship was given to 5 beneficiaries who were undergoing treatment for their illnesses. The assistance provided by the Minister of Social Affairs was IDR 54 million.


The Minister of Social Affairs also handed over the donations collected by kitabisa.com for the 5 beneficiaries. The donation was given to Zyan Hafid Al Iksan's son worth IDR 148,104,752 who suffered from a leaky heart valve, Rezano Ramadhan worth IDR 78,597,295 who suffered from brain disease, Meli Susanti worth IDR 32,331,241 who suffered from a spinal tumor, Aman worth IDR 90,302,856 who suffered from paralysis and Ihsan Fadil worth IDR 17,270,033 who suffered from intestinal pain.


"It’s our limitation not to be able to provide long-term treatment. Therefore, the Ministry of Social Affairs asked for help from kitabisa.com to find philanthropists who can help with medical expenses," said the Minister.


The Minister of Social Affairs expressed her gratitude to the observers from social media who conveyed the information. Also to the philanthropists who have made donations to persons in need and lightened their burden.


This donation through kitabisa.com was handed over to help with treatment costs and needs during treatment.


The South Lampung Regent, Nanang Ermanto also expressed his gratitude to the Ministry of Social Affairs. "On behalf of the local government and the people of South Lampung, we would like to say thank you for the presence of Mrs Minister of Social Affairs and the staff for helping our community. This assistance is a good step for the future to solve medical problems in South Lampung Regency," he said.


Met in the Sebuku Hall of the South Lampung Regent's Office, Mawardi (47 years old), Meli Susanti's husband and Rezano Ramadhan's father couldn't hold back their emotions. He was grateful to get support from the central government. He has been struggling for 7 years to take care of his sick son. He was struggling even more when his wife was sick for the last 2 years.  


"Thanks to the Ministry of Social Affairs for the support. I still have faith and hope that my wife and children will recover. I will never give up," said Mawardi.
