BEKASI (February 16, 2023) - The government cannot work alone in realizing community welfare. Indonesia's development challenges are very complex with all its dynamics.

The participation of all elements of the nation, including the businesses, is very necessary. Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismahari emphasized that the role of businesses is very significant in working hand in hand with the government in helping people in need.

The Minister of Social Affairs appreciated Metropolitan Land Tbk (Metland) for making a real contribution and caring for poor and vulnerable communities.

"If there are many entrepreneurs like this, Indonesia will be prosperous. Thank you, the staff of Metropolitan Land Tbk," said the Minister of Social Affairs in front of the board of directors while attending the 29th Anniversary of Metropolitan Land Tbk at Metropolitan Mall, Bekasi, Thursday (16/2 ).

Metland provided 100 wheelchair units as assistance to the Ministry of Social Affairs. These wheelchairs will be distributed to those in need by the "Pangudi Luhur" Integrated Center (STPL) in Bekasi. Apart from that, Metland also renovated classrooms for SDN Jambudipa 1 Cianjur which was affected by the earthquake some time ago.

Therefore, the Minister of Social Affairs appreciates entrepreneurs' concern for vulnerable communities.

"I appreciate (this real contribution), that's why when I read the letter, even though I didn't know (the Directors), I wanted to be there myself," she said.
