Social Affairs Minister with Member of House Representative Handed-Over Medical Support for 3 Children in Riau

PEKANBARU (November 3, 2022) - Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini along with Member of House Representatives (DPR RI) Achmad handed over ATENSI assistance and donation from Kitabisa.com for three children who suffering from cronic disease at "Abiseka" Center in Pekanbaru, Thursday evening (3/11).

Those 3 children are Daffa Zufari (1st) with hydrocephalus, Jeprizal (7th) with impaired kidney function, and Muhammad Aidil Fikri (2nd) with a leaky heart.

On this occasion, Risma said that she always do media scanning everyday with specific keywords to find information about someone who need help, especially for children suffering from cronic disease.

"We have some keywords, like poor or fragile, we will definitely find them. If they are children, we will communicate with kitabisa to help with their donation program," she said.

According to her, the information will not reach the Social Affairs Ministry without others help by upload it to the social media. So that, she appreciates social media activist who help to spread the information about someone who need a help.

Beside kitabisa.com, Ministry of Social Affairs responsible to give assistances, such as nutritional support, e.g: special milk for children who have rare disease. Ministry of Social Affairs also facilitated accomodation during the medical treatment process.

"We provide a place here, "Abiseka" Center, for them to stay during the medical treatment process in Riau. While others will be provided in Jakarta if they need it," she said.

Meanwhile, as Riau people, Achmad appreciated the dedication and the fast-response from the Minister in handling the problem in the community, especially for children with cronic disease and dissability.

"She has an extraordinary sense of humanity. She is really fast to respond this kind of problem," said politician from Democrate Party.

He hoped, Ministry of Social Affairs will always continue to oversee the people in need so that they can access the social welfare services.

For information, the donation from kitabisa.com collected was fit with the target. Daffa received donation worth Rp74,4 million, Jeprizal Rp59,5 million, Aidil Rp63,6 million.

Ministry of Social affairs also distributed nutritional support, accomodation, and personal hygine equipment. While Jeprizal's parents received entrepreneurship assistance in form of fishing equipment.

Since collaborating with kitabisa.com a year ago, the Ministry of Social Affairs has helped more than 100 children with serious illnesses throughout Indonesia.
