KLUNGKUNG (December 20, 2022) - Wearing a hat, Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini walked along the coastline filled with stretches of salt being dried. The sun at that time reached 35° Celsius. However, it did not lower the enthusiasm of the Minister of Social Affairs to ensure that the assistance provided was useful. Apparently, this is how Social Affairs Minister Risma fosters a sense of social solidarity.

After the peak event of the 2022 National Social Solidarity Day (HKSN) at Ida Dewa Agung Jambe Square, Klungkung Regency, Tuesday (20/12), Social Affairs Minister Risma headed to the location of salt making known as Kusamba Salt.

The savory of Kusamba Salt produced by the Sarining Segara Salt Farmers Group in Kusamba Village, Dawan District, Klungkung Regency continues to be preserved by the community and has received support from the Ministry of Social Affairs through the Indonesia Economic Heroes Program (PENA).

During a dialog with salt farmers, they revealed that they were greatly helped by the Ministry of Social Affairs. "We have a lot of production after the tunnel system was made by the Ministry of Social Affairs. However, we still need assistance for marketing, because currently we overstock so that the price falls (down)," said the Head of the Sarining Segara Salt Farmers Group, I Wayan Rena.

Hearing this, the Minister immediately instructed his staff to assist in the marketing process. In addition, the Minister also directed to provide training on processing salt into an industrial product to meet market demand, such as the cosmetics industry, to various foods.

"How if we make it into cosmetics? So, the grade is a bit high. But, there is a process and we can ask for help from ITS (Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology) Surabaya. I'll think about it outside of production. So, there is further processing of this salt," said the Minister.

Departing from Kusamba Village, the Minister visited the beneficiary village of the integrated water installation in Kasaman Village, Klungkung District. This water installation is able to meet the needs of clean water for 200 families and 12,000 liters or 600 gallons of ready-to-drink water per day.

Students of Elementary School 1 Kamasan also drink water from the integrated installation. This was witnessed directly by the Minister of Social Affairs when visiting this elementary school which had difficulty to find water.

After visiting the Integrated Water Installation in Kamasan Village, the Minister continued her journey to the location of beneficiaries of Integrated Welfare Houses (RST) and PENA assistance in Semarapura Tengah Village, Klungkung Regency, Bali.

The Minister of Social Affairs reviewed the results of house renovations and also the Sarana Upakara Suyasa business owned by Nengah Suyasa. At this moment, the Minister of Social Affairs also symbolically handed over RST assistance for 210 Beneficiary Families (KPM) in Semapura Tengah Village, Klungkung Regency, Bali. Total assistance worth Rp4.2 billion.

The Minister also handed over assistance to 29 beneficiaries of the PENA program with assistance worth a total of Rp159.5 million in Klungkung Regency.
