MALANG REGENCY (30 June 2021) - It is an unusual occasion that dozens of residents sat in neat rows at the Kanigoro Village Hall, Pagelaran District, Malang Regency, East Java, Tuesday (29/6/2021).

Everyone is wearing mask and gloves. The majority of them are elderly. There are also people with disabilities.

When the sun blazed down, the Social Minister, Tri Rismaharini and her entourage arrived. All residents welcomed her warmly.

Wearing brick-colored floral batik, Risma's arrival brought its own blessings to the families of PKH beneficiaries because Prosperity Family Card (KKS) will be handed over soon.

"These ladies and gentlemen have actually become PKH beneficiaries since 5 years ago. However, their data were misused by a facilitator that the cards can only be handed over now," said Risma.

Accompanied by the Regent of Malang, she directly handed over 14 KKS to Beneficiary Families (KPM). Those cards are replacement for the allegedly misused cards by their facilitator.

"There are 32 cards in total, but 14 cards were not distributed by the facilitator. The nominal varies, some of which are IDR 3 million per year since 2017," said Risma.

The 14 KPM PKH with smiles on their face are now relieved. Their rights that should have been obtained since 5 years ago, were finally given to them thanks to Social Minister Risma.

"Please don't let other people take your cards away. Niki seng beto panjenengan (Just take it with you). If you can't use it, you can ask for help from the lurah or village officials, not anyone else," Risma ordered the KKS recipients.

Matali is one of the PKH recipients in Kanigoro Village. The grandfather was happy because he received the KKS handed over directly by Social Minister Risma.

Matali is grateful for receiving social assistance from the government through the Ministry of Social Affairs. "Matur Nuwun Sanget (Thank you very much) Mrs. Risma," said Matali.

Concerning the Alleged Cases of Misused KKS

When the Social Minister received a report regarding the alleged misuse of KKS located in Kanigoro Village, Malang Regency, she instructed the Ministry of Social Affairs officials to communicate with the police for the investigation process.

"I received the report and then assigned officials to communicate with the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police. To make it faster,  the officials were asked to go directly to the Malang Police. The process has taken one week," said Risma.

If the allegations are proven, the person will be fired as a PKH facilitator. She also had to serve a criminal sentence.

"Don't make it into habit! If it is proven, she will be fired as a PKH facilitator and face criminal law," said Risma.

After being appointed as Social Minister, Risma was keen to clean up sly facilitators/officers playing with social assistance. The Ministry of Social Affairs also collaborates with the Indonesian National Police and the Attorney General's Office (AGO).

"Actually, there are also other cases in other areas in investigation process. Malang Police is the fastest," she said.

The Head of Criminal Investigation at the Malang Police, Assistant Commissioner of Police (AKP) Donny Kristian Baralangi stated that the investigation process was already underway.

"We are waiting for the audit results from the Financial and Development Supervisory Board of East Java Province. After that, the suspect will be determined," said AKP Donny.

The alleged perpetrator for the case of misuse of KKSs in Kanigoro Village was one person based on the provisional count by the Malang Regency PKH Coordinator.

"Losses are estimated at hundreds of millions rupiah with one perpetrator in Kanigoro Village," he concluded.
