The Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs ensures that victims of the earthquake disaster in Maluku several time ago can be handled properly. This was conveyed by the Director General of Social Protection and Security, Harry Hikmat while observing the location of the Darussalam refugee post in Ambon on Monday (28/10).
In the current emergency transition period, the Ministry of Social Affairs has the responsibility in distributing compensation funds to the heirs of the dead and psychosocial support services or trauma healing. In addition, the Ministry of Social Affairs is also providing logistical support in the form of main meals and tents for victims who are still living in refugee camps since anxiety of aftershocks.
