The Indonesian Ombudsman supports social assistance for the Family of Hope Program (PKH) organized by the Ministry of Social Affairs. This was conveyed by the Head of the Assistant Substance 7 of the Indonesian Ombudsman, Ahmad Sobirin during the submission of the report on the results of the Rapid Assessment of PKH on Tuesday morning.
Even so, he added there were still some shortcomings of PKH that had to be corrected by the Ministry of Social Affairs. Some corrections from the Ombudsman are that there are a number of PKH social assistance distribution that haven't been on target yet, then some of social assistance disbursement processes are still hampered, and complaints services are sometimes not optimal.
Meanwhile, Director General of Social Protection and Security, Harry Hikmat, who was representing the Minister of Social Affairs, was grateful for the support and correction provided by the Ombudsman. He explained that the corrections had been gradually improved. However, it still needs time to make PKH complete. He also added that the delay in PKH social assistance disbursement such as in Sampang, Madura was actually just a wrong perception.
