SUKABUMI (December 27th, 2023) - Assistance given from Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini for children experiencing serious illnesses was very meaningful for both children and parents. Minister of Social Affairs did not only provide assistance for treatment for children, but also for parents to support and create a supportive environment in caring for children.

This was felt by Warma (72), a resident of Tamansari Village, Lelea District, Indramayu. Warma's wife, Tasinah (48), received entrepreneurial assistance in the form of a children's snack shop. Meanwhile, the Minister offered him a laying hen business.

Warma's youngest child, Fahrul (6), suffered a brain aneurysm which left him paralyzed. This condition resulted in Fahrul having to be helped in carrying out his daily activities. As a result, Warma had to find additional costs for his child's medical treatment, and his wife could not work because she had to take care of Fahrul.

"Thank you, Minister, for the help," said Warma when meeting with the Minister at "Phalamartha" Center in Sukabumi, Wednesday (27/12).

The Minister said that apart from assistance for children, support for parents was also equally important. Treatment for children took a long time.

"That's why I'm offering to increase income. My staff will come to assess what business they can do," she said.

Meanwhile, on the same occasion, the Minister also provided assistance to three other children. These include Rizky Putra Irawan (9) from Sukabumi who had paralysis, Iffa Astila Rahma (9) from Sukabumi who had a skin disorder, and Aisyah Azzahra (9) from Lebak Banten who had Beta Thalassemia.

The Ministry of Social Affairs (MoSA), through the Center, provided Social Rehabilitation Assistance (ATENSI) in the form of accommodation assistance to hospitals, transfer and registration of BPJS recipients of National Health Insurance Contribution Assistance (PBI-JKN), adaptive wheelchair assistance equipment, entrepreneurship assistance for parents, equipment schools, bicycles, clothing, basic necessities, nutritional needs and other assistance.

Apart from this, assistance was also provided donations from kitabisa.com amounting to IDR 141,106,710 from 10,142 donations for the children.
