CILEGON (1 February 2021) - The Cilegon City Government will establish 43 Social Welfare Centers (Puskesos) in the region this year. The underprivileged people living in villages/kelurahan (subdistricts) are expected to be able to get various fast and integrated social services easily.

Head of the Cilegon City Social Office, Ahmad Djubaedi, stated that for this purpose, his office had worked together with the Ministry of Social Affairs. "In 2020, Cilegon City has received assistance from the Ministry of Social Affairs in the pilot project to develop Puskesos. This year, we use the regional budget (APBD) to activate 43 Puskesos, "said Ahmad Djubaedi in Cilegon, recently.

Together with the Ministry of Social Affairs, the Cilegon City Government and district/city governments in various provinces in Indonesia have received studies related to the effectiveness of establishing an Integrated Service and Referral System (SLRT) and Puskesos. "SLRT and Puskesos are effective in dealing with various social welfare problems at the grassroots level," he said.

According to Djubaedi, the SLRT function and its miniature version at the village/kelurahan level, the Puskesos, were able to respond to various complaints and community problems. "SLRT and Puskesos can identify community complaints against various social services and can be monitored to ensure the handling is carried out at all levels," he said.

Djubaedi also expressed his optimism that SLRT and Puskesos were able to continue to strengthen the improvement of poverty data so as to increase the accuracy of the target of social assistance distribution.

"The SLRT application is also connected and becomes an inseparable part (module) of the standardized application of the
Next Generation Social Welfare Information System (SIKS-NG) to update Social Welfare Integrated Data (DTKS)," he said.

Thus, the presence of SLRT is expected to provide excellent, on target, responsive and integrated social services. "To provide this prime service, the SLRT service platform is supported by an online web and android based application system, enabling services to be implemented responsively and on target, "he said.

Currently, the personnel, facilities, infrastructure, and the equipment needed in Cilegon City are ready. "We just need to prepare the institutions," he said.

The Ministry of Social Affairs fully supports the development of SLRT and Puskesos in all districts/cities. The center for handling social problems at the grassroots level is a mainstay in improving and bringing people closer to social services.

Data from the Ministry of Social Affairs until the end of 2020 shows that  SLRT has been formed in 155 districts/cities and Puskesos in 7,566 villages/kelurahan. The Ministry of Social Affairs targets that by 2021, SLRT will have been formed in 300 districts/cities. And by the end of 2024, all districts / cities have established SLRT with one village having at least 1 Puskesos.

The Ministry of Social Affairs has developed SLRT and Puskesos since 2016 which provide one-stop social services for various community complaints about social problems. SLRT and Puskesos provide maximum access to the community, especially to the underprivileged and the poor, to receive multi-social services.
