ROKAN HULU (November 23, 2023) – The Ministry of Social Affairs, in collaboration with Commission VIII of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI), distributed social assistance in Rokan Hulu Regency, Riau Province. The social assistance was handed over alongside Dr. H. Achmad, M.Sc., a member of Commission VIII.

The assistance, totaling IDR10.354 billion, included the Family Hope Program (PKH), the Non-Cash Food Program (BPNT), the Integrated Welfare Houses (RST), and the Social Rehabilitation Assistance (ATENSI) programs such as ATENSI for the Orphans (YAPI), livelihood support, entrepreneurship assistance, accessibility aid, and the Nusantara Economic Heroes (PENA) Berdikari.

Achmad praised the Ministry of Social Affairs for addressing community needs and emphasized the importance of using the aid responsibly. "The Ministry of Social Affairs, as a partner of Commission VIII, ensures that no community member is left behind," he stated. Known for his love of poetry, Achmad also encouraged all beneficiaries to make the most of the assistance.

The event was attended by Rokan Hulu Regent’s representative, Head of the Rokan Hulu Social Office Damri Poti, Head of the "Abiseka" Center in Pekanbaru Ema Widiati, community representatives, social companions, and 365 social assistance recipients.
