PRINGSEWU (December 20, 2024) – The Ministry of Social Affairs (MoSA) continues to commemorate National Social Solidarity Day (HKSN) in 2024. This annual event, often referred to as the "Eid" for all community elements, aims to nurture Indonesia's noble legacy of values such as mutual cooperation, humanity, and social solidarity, which are deeply rooted in Indonesian society.

"The spirit of cooperation is our ancestral heritage. However, this spirit has recently weakened, which is why, through HKSN, we are reviving it as a foundation for realizing Indonesia's golden future," said Minister of Social Affairs Saifullah Yusuf, also known as Gus Ipul, while overseeing a series of events for the HKSN 2024 celebration in Pringsewu Regency on Friday, December 20, 2024.

In 2024, MoSA hosted the HKSN celebration in Lampung Province, notably in Pringsewu Regency. The HKSN 2024 festival, themed "Strengthening Solidarity Towards a Golden Indonesia," sought to reinforce national solidarity.

A variety of activities enriched the regency, often known as the land of a thousand bamboo. The numerous events vividly demonstrated the meaning underlying the HKSN 2024 theme. One of the highlights was the simultaneous nationwide cleanup on December 20, 2024.

"InshaAllah, today, no less than one million people are participating in a community cleanup across Indonesia. This is happening everywhere," said Gus Ipul, while leading the national cleanup event held simultaneously across the country in Margodadi Village, Pringsewu, on Friday morning.

To enliven the peak event of HKSN 2024 in Lampung, MoSA collaborated with various partners who shared a commitment to energizing the celebration. These partners included the Asia Muslim Charity Foundation (AMCF), Kumala Foundation, Jusuf Hamka, Indonesian Red Cross (PMI), Unilever Indonesia, National Board of Zakat (Baznas), BRI, Lampung Bank, and Yayasan Kasih Tuna Daksa.

"During HKSN, a variety of events are organized, from health and social community services, aid distribution, joint cleanups, to activities in line with the local culture," said Gus Ipul.

According to Gus Ipul, the President always gives instructions to ensure that activities have a direct impact on the community.

For the 2024 HKSN celebration in Lampung, MoSA and partners provided IDR 3 trillion in aid to the people of Lampung. This aid included basic needs assistance, children needs, accessibility aids, Social Welfare Center (Puskesos) assistance, empowerment aid, cervical screening assistance, infrastructure support, the Sembako/BPNT program, the Family Hope Program (PKH), social granary, meals for the elderly and persons with disabilities, local wisdom aid, and YAPI assistance.

In addition, MoSA partners contributed to the renovation of Integrated Welfare Houses (RST), health services, accessibility aids, basic needs assistance, school supplies, sports infrastructure, blood donation, nutrition packages, training and workshops.

During the event, Gus Ipul also conducted a "graduation" ceremony for 32 Family Beneficiaries (KPM) of the PKH program. He emphasized that graduation is not only about economic improvement but also about shifting mindsets and adopting productive behaviors.

Gus Ipul also personally provided Sembako and PKH program assistance to 150 beneficiaries gathered at the Pringsewu Post Office. During this time, he spoke with the recipients, encouraging them to graduate from the social assistance programs. He expressed hope that they will soon be able to obtain economic empowerment support and live freely without relying on social aid.

"We have many social aid programs (BPNT/PKH), and we hope that beneficiaries can graduate from the programs," said Gus Ipul.

In his final visit, Gus Ipul was warmly welcomed by the Kenduri culture of the residents of Bumiarum Village, Pringsewu, which greatly emphasized community unity.

Gus Ipul, along with his team and the local residents, sat together in a large tent to share a meal. There were no barriers between anyone, symbolizing solidarity and social unity.

"I am very grateful for the warm welcome and traditions in this village," said Gus Ipul.

He further stated that such traditions and the spirit of unity must be preserved and maintained.

"This exceptional welcome is part of our culture's heritage of assisting one another. Let us continue, preserve, and pass it down to our children and grandchildren," said Gus Ipul.

All of these activities represented the social solidarity that binds the community together. The hope is that this moment will strengthen the sense of social solidarity and cooperation, ultimately contributing to the realization of a golden Indonesia in the future.
