Jakarta, 30 October 2023 – Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini inaugurated 110 government employees with work agreements (P3K) at the Ministry of Social Affairs (MoSa) office in Jakarta on Monday (30/10). The employees will be placed in MoSA's technical unit at headquarters and throughout the provinces.

In her statement, Minister Risma encouraged the P3K to utilize their full potential for the betterment of people's social welfare. Given MoSA primary focus on the practical impact it has on people's lives, it is particularly noteworthy.

“We should use this time to help people. As the most noble people are those who benefit others,” she said.

Minister Risma shared an inspiring story about an individual who was unable to walk for a prolonged period, but with the help of MoSA, they were able to regain their mobility.   The positive impact of the support enabled him to secure employment, provide for his family, and fund his children's education.   Minister Risma emphasized the transformative power of genuine effort in improving one's life.

Upon inauguration, new employees are promptly introduced to each technical unit for assignment.   One of them is the Integrated Centre of Kartini in Temanggung.   The Head of the Centre, Iyan Kusumadiana, mentioned that there is a high demand for P3K due to the increased duties and functions of the centre, which now caters to all individuals in need of social welfare services.

“We get three new employees. And they are very needed. Especially we get social workers, social counselors, and instructors. Hopefully, they will give color to our center to become better,” he explained.

Meanwhile, one of P3K inaugurated, Imam Santoso, expressed his gratitude for being officially inaugurated as P3K by Minister Risma.   Imam had made extensive preparations leading up to his inauguration today.

“Mental preparation comes first so that I can be able to carry out the oath. Minister Risma took the oath herself. Hopefully, I can work professionally and with integrity,” he said.

Imam is a resident of Banjarnegara Central Java, and he is assigned to Center of Meohai in Kendari. Despite being far from his home base, Imam remains grateful and understands that government employees must be willing to be assigned anywhere.

“I only bring a few clothes; I don’t expect to be placed in Sulawesi. But I still hope I can work professionally to improve the service in the center and can carry out our mandate well, namely being a useful person,” he said.

The newly inaugurated P3K includes a team of healthcare professionals and technical experts.   Health workers include doctors, public health counselors, and physiotherapists.   Meanwhile, the technical function encompasses a diverse range of professionals such as instructors, social workers, social counselors, legal counselors, public relations officers, IT officers, cultural instructors, and lecturers.
