The President stated that the distribution of cash assistance is running as of today, for Beneficiary Families (KPM) in 34 provinces, from Sabang to Merauke, from Miangas to Rote Island. In his remarks, the President emphasized that cash assistance should be used for urgent needs as a result of the pandemic.
"If the (allocation) is to buy basic food, then do it. Don't buy cigarettes. Use it to buy basic necessities so that it will ease the burden during the pandemic,” said the President at the State Palace, during the launching of cash assistance throughout Indonesia in 2021 (04/01). The event was also attended by governors in 34 provinces via teleconference.
Second, the President advised that cash assistance can reach the KPM immediately and completely, without reduction. "I reminded again, to KPM and its neighbours who today did not come to the palace, that the aid was received in full, there were no reduction. Because this is transferred through the account of each recipient. Either through state own bank association (HIMBARA) or to the Post Office,” said the President.
Therefore, on that occasion, the President instructed the relevant ministers and governors, to supervise and ensure that the distribution of assistance runs on time, right on target, and no reduction.
Thus, it is hoped that cash assistance can help ease the burden on the people in the midst of a pandemic, and can also move the wheels of the economy as expected. "So that the economic impact can appear immediately and can increase economic growth," said the President.

elderly, and people with severe disabilities, the banks will deliver them
directly to their respective residences," said Risma. Likewise for Cash
Social Assistance, the delivery of assistance will be carried out by PT Pos
Indonesia, and will also deliver to their residences.
Underlining the President's
message, Risma advised PKH recipients to be wise and appropriate in using
assistance, such as for improving family health, improving children's
education, and reducing family burdens, basic needs for business capital and
partly for savings.
"The basic food program that
is delivered in the form of BPNT should be spent at local e-stalls, for
carbohydrates, animal protein, vegetable protein, sources of vitamins and
minerals," she said.
Cash assistance is given to non
PKH recipients and basic food cards, so that they can use the purchase of basic
necessities / foodstuffs, such as rice / corn, side dishes, vegetables, fruits,
