ASMAT (24 March 2022) - After visiting the Asmat Regency of Papua in mid-November 2021, today the Minister of Social Affairs (MoSA) and her entourage returned to the same place. Today, the MoSA will return to greet residents of two villages, namely Erosaman and Amagais Village.
Vegetable, fruit, and catfish seeds as assistance were given to both villages. MoSA also inaugurated agricultural and fishery cultivation. Moreover, MoSA reviewed the Staple Food Stalls in Amagais.
Activity in Agats involved the Agats Diocese, the Asmat Regency Government, and the administrators of the An-Nur Mosque. The assistance provided was in the form of one unit of water desalination machine, one package of solar cells, cultivation of laying hens, vegetable seeds, fruit seeds, catfish seeds, and agricultural and fishery cultivation. There were also two units of water desalination machines and two solar cell packages for the regency government and An-Nur Mosque.
The assistance from the Minister of Social Affairs for the Agats Diocese is Rp. 7,616,560,000, for the Asmat Regency Government, Rp. 1,301,340,000, and the administrators of the An-Nur Mosque, Rp. 945,580,000.
The presence of the MoSA in Asmat is to strengthen and optimize the fulfilment of basic needs, social services and sustainable livelihoods for the community.
