JAKARTA (September 12, 2019) - The Ministry of Social Affairs has successfully achieved the top position in BMN (State Property) management and is entitled to receive the BMN Award from the Ministry of Finance.

Representing Minister of Social Affairs Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita, Secretary General of the Ministry of Social Affairs Hartono Laras received the BMN Award plaque directly from Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati, at the Ministry of Finance Building Complex, Jakarta, today.

"Alhamdulillah. In 2019, the Ministry of Social Affairs won first place in BMN management in the category of BMN utility management for large work units at the Ministry / Institution level. This cannot be separated from the commitment and direction of the Minister of Social Affairs Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita, as well as the support of all Echelon I leaders and Heads of the work unit and UPT in all regions," said Hartono Laras, at the Ministry of Finance Building Complex, Jakarta, Thursday (12/09/2019).

The award was presented by the Minister of Finance, who was accompanied by the Deputy Minister of Finance, in a series of Rakernas Akuntansi dan Pelaporan Keuangan Pemerintah Tahun 2019 with the theme "Optimizing Financial Information in the Digital Era for Advanced Indonesia", 11-12 September 2019 at the Ministry of Finance Complex, Jakarta.

The Rakernas aims to increase the understanding and participation of stakeholders in the provision of reliable and relevant state financial information.

The BMN Award was given to 11 ministries/institutions out of 87 ministries/institutions that manage BMN, and in the category of BMN utility management. "For the most work unit, the Ministry of Social Affairs received the best award / first prize," Hartono said.

Hartono was accompanied by the Head of the General Affairs Bureau Adi Wahyono and the Head of the Finance Bureau Mira Kurniasih. Also present were a number of leaders of high-ranking institutions, and ministers in the Working Cabinet including Minister of Home Affairs Tjahjo Kumolo, Minister of Industry Airlangga Hartarto, Minister of ATR /BPN Sofyan Jalil, Minister of PAN-RB Syafruddin, as well as members of the DPR and leaders of non-ministerial government agencies.

According to Hartono, this achievement complements other achievements, namely having obtained three consecutive WTP Opinions from the Indonesian Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) for 2016, 2017, and 2018 Financial Statements. As well as SPIP maturity has entered level three from the Financial and Development Audit Agency (BPKP) and other achievements related to various public service innovations from various Ministry of Social Affairs work units and other achievements.

"We should be grateful for this. This success is the result of good cooperation, and the joint commitment of all leaders - and the ranks in all units and all staff of the Ministry of Social Affairs, in managing BMN and paying serious attention to the results of assistance provided by the Inspectorate General of the Ministry of Social Affairs. For that we express our gratitude and highest appreciation," Hartono said.

This award, Hartono also said, is expected to motivate and encourage all leaders and employees in all work units and Technical Service Units (UPT) of the Ministry of Social Affairs spread throughout Indonesia.

"This award is to encourage all of us to work hard and be more careful and thorough in controlling, managing, and utilizing BMN which is large and spread throughout the work unit and UPT throughout Indonesia," he said.

On this occasion, Hartono also stated that this success is also an implementation of the implementation of bureaucratic reform which has proven to be going well, which is indicated by the increasing number of innovations implemented and awards received by the Ministry of Social Affairs.

Now, the Ministry of Social Affairs has innovated in management, especially in the utilization/utility of BMN which is quite a lot and spread in various regions by preparing the use of Geographic Information System (GIS) technology/application. In 2019 it is ready, and will be implemented in the near future," he said.

In his remarks, the Minister asked all ministries/institutions to continue optimizing the use of BMN by adjusting to new concepts/ways of working following the development of digital technology. For example, the concept of cost sharing or open space will affect how BMN is used more efficiently and effectively.

"I want to give appreciation -BMN Award- to ministries and institutions that have used or utilized, reported, and secured our BMN well. I would also like to express my appreciation to ministries/institutions that have innovations in the use of information technology in BMN management," the Minister said.
