JAKARTA (2 July 2023) – After an earthquake with 6,4 Magnitude scale was attacked Special Region of Yogyakarta on Friday night (30/6), Social Affairs Minister Tri Rismaharini instructed her staffs to do a fast response.  6 Technical Units of Social Affairs Minister that is nearest from the disaster location were immediately going to the disaster point.

“Through Command Center MoSA and WhatsApp Group, Mrs. Minister has directly given an instruction to all staffs in the Center/ Integrated Center, Disaster Response Volunteer, and other social companion that is nearest to the location in the way to give them for social assistance,” said Acting Head of Public Relation Bureau, Saturday (1/7).

The six nearest Centers are Prof. Dr. Soeharso Integrated Center in Surakarta, Social Welfare Education and Training Center (BBPPKS Yogyakarta Regional III), Antasena Center in Magelang, Satria Center in Baturraden, Kartini Integrated Center in Temanggung and Margo Laras Center in Pati.

"The six centers were instructed to trace all locations affected by the disaster and take action to provide emergency assistance for affected residents," Romal said.

Emergency handling assistance carried out by the Ministry of Social Affairs in the form of setting up multipurpose tents and family tents for evacuation, as well as distributing logistical assistance.

"One multipurpose tent for evacuation was established in Kuwon Kidul hamlet, Gunungkidul. Meanwhile, four family tents in Kuwon Tengah hamlet, Semanuk, Gunungkidul," said Romal.

Meanwhile, logistical assistance from the Soeharso Integrated Center for Pacitan Regency consists of 100 packages of children's food, 100 packages of ready-to-eat food, 100 packages of ready-to-eat side dishes, 120 packages of ready-to-eat seasonings, 100 packages of kidsware, 40 sheets of mattresses, 40 sheets of blankets, 20 sheets of rolling tents, 20 units of portable family tents B2022, with the total value of Rp223,213,000.

Logistical assistance from Sentra Margo Laras for Pacitan Regency consists of 40 packages of children's food, 100 packages of ready-to-eat food, 100 sheets of blankets, 20 packages of adult clothing, with worths Rp12,892,900.

"For Bantul and Gunungkidul regencies, logistical assistance was distributed from the Kartini Integrated Center, Antasena Center, BBPPKS Yogyakarta and the Social Barn in Gunungkidul," he said.

Kartini Integrated Center distributed logistical assistance in the form of 100 packages of children's food, 100 packages of ready-to-eat food, 100 packages of ready-to-eat side dishes, 5 units of family tents, with a total value Rp52,836,000.

"Sentra Antasena distributed logistical assistance in the form of 100 packages of ready-to-eat food, 3 units of stoves, 25 sheets of mattresses, 20 units of mattresses, 4 units of family tents, with a total value of IDR 45,000,000," he explained.

Furthermore, BBPPKS Yogyakarta distributed logistical assistance in the form of 100 packages of children's food, 100 packages of ready-to-eat food, 100 packages of ready-to-eat side dishes, 100 packages of kidsware, 31 units of mattresses, 31 sheets of blankets, with a total value Rp62,374,600.

The social barn in Gunungkidul issued assistance in the form of 1 unit of multipurpose tents and 10 sheets of roll tents, with an assistance value of IDR 30,448,000.

Meanwhile, logistical assistance for earthquake-affected communities in Kebumen Regency was distributed from the Satria Center in the form of 24 packages of children's food, 110 packages of ready-to-eat food, 11 packages of kitchen utensils, pampers, 44 packages of sanitary napkins, 8 packages of kidsware, 9 mattresses, 40 blankets, 11 sheets of roll tents, with an assistance value of IDR 34,324,790.

Social barns in the form of 22 packages of children's food, 22 packages of ready-to-eat food, 2 packages of kitchen utensils, 10 sheets of rolling tents, with an aid value of IDR 5,856,720 were also distributed.

Meanwhile, logistical assistance for earthquake-affected communities in Kebumen Regency was distributed from the Satria Center in the form of 24 packages of children's food, 110 packages of ready-to-eat food, 11 packages of kitchen utensils, diapers, 44 packages of sanitary napkins, 8 packages of kidsware, 9 mattresses, 40 blankets, 11 sheets of roll tents, with a total value of IDR 34,324,790.

Social barns in the form of 22 packages of children's food, 22 packages of ready-to-eat food, 2 packages of kitchen utensils, 10 sheets of roll tents, with a total Rp5,856,720 were also distributed to earthquake-affected communities in Kebumen Regency.

So that the total assistance disbursed by the Ministry of Social Affairs for handling the impact of the Bantul earthquake in total IDR 466,946,010.

Quoting the twitter report of the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG), an earthquake with a magnitude (M) of 6.4 shook the Bantul area, Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY), on Friday (6/30/2023), at around 19:57 WIB.

The earthquake was centered 86 kilometers southwest of Bantul, Yogyakarta, with a depth of 25 kilometers. The earthquake waves were felt in several areas, with severe impacts recorded in Bantul, Gunungkidul, Pacitan and Kebumen regencies.
