The atensi assistance from Ministry of Social Affairs in Magelang reached Rp91 million


MAGELANG (May 22nd, 2022) – The presence of President Joko Widodo at Muntilan Market received a warm welcome from the seller and the visitor. Waiting since morning, they seem really happy by calling his name.

Presidents present at Muntilan market and Hands-on operation inside the market. President greets people and distributes assistances inside the envelope, and also delivering a message to them.  


“Madam, please do not use this assistance to buy internet credit or cigarettes. Just use it wisely to buy basic and urgent needs,” said President.


“Yes sir!!”, said some beneficiaries.


“Can I use to buy cooking oil or working capital business, right?”


One of the beneficiaries, Rindayani Wijiarti (38) admits that she was really happy receiving the assistance from Ministry of Social Affairs. This person who lives in Taman Agung Village, Muntilan, Magelang regency has a catering business and spring rolls.


His business was staggered, apart from Covid, it was also affected by rising cooking oil prices. "Thank you, Mr. Jokowi and Ms. Risma. This assistance is to increase business capital," said the mother of two.


President accompanied by Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini to witnessing the process of the distribution of Direct Cash Assistance / Bantuan Langsung Tunai (BLT), ATENSI assistance for vulnerable group, Family Hope Program, and Non-Cash Food Assistance Program, and President also distributed working capital assistance.


At Muntilan Market, the ATENSI assistance will be provided in form of accessibility assistance (adaptive wheelchair, electric wheelchair, adaptive walking stick), entrepreneurship assistance (massage business development, business capital for grocery shop, three-wheels motor, carp seed development) and assistance for orphans. The total assistance is Rp91,7 million for 10 beneficiaries.


In this occasion, Cooking Oil BLT also distributed for 90 beneficiaries @Rp 300.000 which total amount Rp 27 million. Working capital business for 100 beneficiaries @Rp 1,2million which total Rp 120 million, and assistance for 66 street vendors which total Rp 11,522,000.


BLT Cooking Oil were given when the price of cooking oil is expensive and the supply is not stable. BLT Cooking Oil is one of government subsidised program to the residents to maintain purchasing power.


After Eid Al-Fitr, the distribution of BLT Cooking Oil still on going in some regions. It is not only because 3T region (frontier, outermost and least developed regions), but also there are some beneficiaries went to another city to celebrate Eid Al-Fitr. So that, the distribution will be held again after they come back to their home.
