BLITAR (November 24, 2023) - Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini for the second time visited Sasmiati's house, a mother in Blitar Regency, East Java who has to take care of her three children with intellectual disabilities. During the first visit exactly a month ago on October 23, 2023, Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini was concerned about the uninhabitable house they were living in and asked for immediate renovation.

During the second visit on Thursday (11/23) afternoon, the Minister wanted to see the progress of the house renovation. The Minister was satisfied that the renovated house was livable, although several parts had to be completed. The Minister also expressed his appreciation for the cooperation and hard work carried out by Tagana, District Social Welfare Workers (TKSK), and Family Hope Program (PKH) assistants.

"Thank you, all of you. Apik (good) you know this house," praised Social Minister Risma.

The Minister of Social Affairs was initially worried that Sasmiati's three children would not allow her house to be renovated. It turned out that Sasmiati and her three children happily allowed the house to be renovated and even felt comfortable living in the new house.

"Purun (willing), ma'am. They feel comfortable living here," said Pagerwojo Village Head Mujiadi, who also accompanied the Minister of Social Affairs to inspect the condition of Sasmiati's house.

Although the house can be considered comfortable, Social Minister Risma wants the house to be even better, especially in the ceiling and floor asking for ceramics. "This lacks ceilings and ceramics, Mas. Please finish it later," said the Minister.
