JAKARTA (22 April 2022) - Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini inaugurated and strengthened structural and functional officials within the Ministry of Social Affairs (MoSA). In her directive, the Minister asked the appointed officials to work with dedication and trust.


"We often forget that perfection only belongs to God. We as humans are full of flaws, including me. With the position and mandate that God has given to us, let's give the best and be trustworthy," said the Minister in Jakarta (21/04).

 

The Minister also said that the inaugurated officials were chosen people. "As a leader, you all must have the initiative and be able to create innovative programs that become solutions in solving various social problems in your respective scope of work," the Minister added.

 

To the appointed officials, the Minister of Social Affairs advised them to increase their capacity, be responsive to the needs of the community, and understand the conditions and situations around them. "It is no less important to hone yourself so that you have a sense of empathy, feel what the community feels who need your help and work sincerely to help others," she said.


The Minister inaugurated seven people of Senior Officials, Heads of Technical Implementation Units (UPT), and functional officials.


A total of 561 people attended the occasion. Among those who were inaugurated and confirmed were Secretary General Harry Hikmat and Director General of Social Empowerment Edi Suharto.


On a different occasion, Secretary General Harry Hikmat stated that the Inauguration within MoSA is an implementation of the Republic of Indonesia Presidential Regulation Number 110 of 2021 on the Ministry of Social Affairs. This regulation explains the role and duties of the Ministry of Social Affairs, namely to carry out government affairs in the social sector to assist the President.


Presidential Regulation No. 110 of 2021 also describes the organizational restructuring of the Ministry of Social Affairs which consists of the Secretariat General, the Directorate General of Social Rehabilitation, the Directorate General of Social Protection and Security, the Directorate General of Social Empowerment, the Inspectorate General and the Senior Advisor to the Minister of Social Affairs.

 

"Organizational restructuring is the basis for organizational transformation to improve performance and competitiveness. Transformation is expected to increase organizational responsiveness in overcoming an increasingly dynamic environment," said Secretary General Harry Hikmat.

 

Organizational restructuring is intended to accelerate the achievement of the objectives of implementing social welfare in an effective and sustainable manner.
