PRINGSEWU (December 19, 2024) - The Ministry of Social Affairs commemorated the 75th National Social Solidarity Day (HKSN) in 2024 by holding free cervical cancer screening for 100 young mothers at the Pringsewu District Hospital, Lampung. This program aims to increase awareness and early detection of women's health, in line with the HKSN theme, "Strengthen Solidarity, Towards a Golden Indonesia."

The examination process using the IVA method was carried out by 33 medical personnel from various health centers and the Pringsewu Hospital. The results showed that 91 people were declared negative, one person was positive, and eight people had invalid results. The samples will be further tested using the HPV DNA method for higher accuracy, with the results notified within two weeks.

Positive patients will receive cryotherapy at the local health center, while those with invalid results will undergo a re-examination. This program is expected to increase awareness of the importance of early reproductive health examinations as a preventive measure against cervical cancer.
