PONOROGO (December 17, 2024) - The Ministry of Social Affairs responded quickly to the flood in Ponorogo, East Java, by distributing compensation to the families of the deceased and providing public kitchen services. To date, two evacuation points have accommodated 150 people, while the public kitchen at the Ponorogo Social Service produces 1,000 rice packages per day for six affected villages. The Tagana team is working with the local government to ensure that residents' basic needs are met. The flood, which occurred due to heavy rain on December 15, 2024, resulted in two deaths and affected more than 5,200 residents.
