JAKARTA (26 June 2020) - Who doesn't know Ponaryo Astaman and Firman Utina? Two Indonesian soccer players who have become icons and known to many people. They and several other footballers who are members of the Indonesian Professional Footballers Association (APPI) came to the Ministry of Social Affairs Office, Friday (26/6). They handed over 150 million rupiah in aid to the Ministry of Social Affairs to be passed on to people affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Ponaryo, who serves as the General Manager of APPI, said that the assistance provided was the result of donations from soccer players. Meanwhile, the Minister of Social Affairs, Juliari P. Batubara, who received the assistance directly said that he would continue the assistance he received for the community in the form of basic food assistance. The assistance is prioritized for former Indonesian footballers and athletes.
