MAJENE (January 15, 2022) - In the midst of building a permanent housing (Huntap) for survivors in Malunda District, Majene Regency, the Ministry of Social Affairs is trying to meet the basic needs of 150 families or 604 people from the two hamlets. This is in accordance with the division of the national disaster management cluster, where the Ministry of Social Affairs has the task of fulfilling the basic needs of logistics, evacuation and Psychosocial Support Services (LDP).
To find out the basic needs of residents, the Ministry of Social Affairs along with the Social Office of West Sulawesi Province, the Social Office of Majene Regency, Majene Regional Board for Disaster Management, to the Social Rehabilitation Center for People with Intellectual Disabilities (BRSPDI) "Nipotowe" Palu, and involved the Head of the Malunda Sub-district, the Mekkatta Village Head, and Disaster Preparedness Cadets (Tagana) personnel conduct mapping and initial assessment.
In its implementation, Tagana personnel from West Sulawesi Province and Majene Regency were deployed to accelerate the process of meeting the basic needs of residents.
