PRINGSEWU (December 20, 2024) - In commemoration of National Social Solidarity Day (HKSN), Minister of Social Affairs Saifullah Yusuf, who is familiarly called Gus Ipul, distributed assistance from the Basic Food Program and Family Hope Program (PKH) to 150 Beneficiary Families (KPM) at the Pringsewu Post Office, Friday (12/20/2024).
Gus Ipul expressed optimism that the distribution of assistance has reached 97 percent nationally, with a target of 100 percent completion in the next 10 days. He also emphasized the importance of utilizing assistance appropriately and not for unproductive purposes, such as online gambling.
In addition, Gus Ipul emphasized the importance of the determination of PKH KPM to graduate and be independent. KPM who feel they are economically capable are expected to immediately "check out" from the PKH program and commit to participating in the empowerment program so that they can live independently. One of the KPM, Adriani (40), who sells cakes, stated that she is ready to graduate next year.
The collaboration between the Ministry of Social Affairs, PT Pos, and the State Bank Association (Himbara) in distributing this assistance is expected to create more effective planning to improve community welfare in the future. Gus Ipul also stressed that social assistance is the first step towards independence, not a gift that lasts a lifetime.
