JAKARTA (December 17, 2024) - Minister of Social Affairs Saifullah Yusuf (Gus Ipul) attended a meeting with Coordinating Minister for Human Empowerment Muhaimin Iskandar to discuss strategic steps to accelerate the eradication of extreme poverty in Indonesia, with a target of reducing extreme poverty to zero percent by 2025.

Gus Ipul explained the Ministry of Social Affairs' programs that involve a targeted and integrated approach, such as Family Hope Program (PKH) and Non-Cash Food Assistance Program (BPNT), as well as the distribution of comprehensive social assistance. He also emphasized the importance of cross-sector coordination and evaluation to ensure that assistance is right on target. Muhaimin Iskandar reminded the importance of integrated policies and strict supervision so that each program can have a significant impact, with collaboration between ministries and institutions being the key to successful poverty alleviation.
